Just went through the strike on the EDZ where you fight the big Cabal guy at the end.
I killed 2 combatants and that was bc at the beginning I thought we’d just have fun.
But this and a handful of other strikes have so much cheese in them that you can literally go through the whole thing with only killing a 10 or so enemies.
Just take them out of rotation bc when they pop in que there’s always that one guy that wants to flex how knowledgeable he is and “look at me follow me we can bypass the whole dam strike”.
It’s a waste of my time.

The quicker the strike = the better

But...but my Swiss...

5 Respuestasthe point of a strike is to kill boss at end get loot and repeat and you are complaining about it going to fast?
-
1 RespuestaDon't get upset at players. Get upset at the loot system. Cabal gold, catalyst progress, lures and a bunch of other quest steps demand that players grind out a ton of strike completions if they don't want to do PvP/Gambit. ( Can't blame them. ) Some people have bigger goals than wandering around and shooting every little monster. If you want to do that so badly, there's patrols.
-
Not everyone wants to tiptoe through a four year old strike. The loot is shit anyway so if I can speedrun it in five minutes to get my Pinnacle that's what I'll do.
Weird how LFG exists for finding like-minded players 🤔
Fun fact: I completely forgot about the arms dealer's mechanics until I had to do the leviathan's breath quest.

1 RespuestaEditado por Dude-in-the-Room: 3/12/2021 9:16:34 PMHold up. I think there’s a misunderstanding. Are you all talking about blazing through the strike but just killing things really fast and yet still kinda skipping some stuff but still shooting shit? Bc that’s not what I’m talking about. I just did the same strike and yes we got it done in like 5 minutes or less but I got 60 kills as did the other 2 guardians. I’m talking about literally where someone runs through and doesn’t kill a thing unless it blocks the path. That’s why I only got 2 kills during that other strike. One of the guardians just ran and ran and ran. No fighting at all. Not even as passing by which is what I don’t mind like the one I just did. I don’t mean I need to get 150 kills and we take forever and kill everything. Like in this strike just now we killing things as we passed by. Does that sound right?

You're welcome for the speed run, scrub

You're ANGRY that someone is making your job about 80% easier for you.

2 RespuestasDo people forget that nightfalls used to be timed? Or that we've been doing the same strikes for literal years? Between having to learn how to run the strikes as fast as possible, and having to do then over and over and over and over and over again, how do people still either not know how to get through quickly, or complain when other players do? Strikes are in a terrible place right now. The faster that milestone is over with, the better. Until we get strikes and strike systems closer to the D1 style, the playlist will suffer.

3 RespuestasEditado por NeoReaper82: 3/10/2021 1:46:52 PMHave you tried oh I don't know GETTING GOOD? Most players have fun blitzing them btw & look up what cheesing is kiddo.

8 RespuestasIf you want a team that takes it slow just get a fireteam... honestly people aren’t gonna wait around for you or enemies in a strike thats been around for a long time to just get some blues at the end People are mostly after tokens or the challenge for doing 3 strikes

3 RespuestasIt's not that he's knowledgeable. The way rewards from activities works is you only get rewarded from finishing it. Everything else is irrelevant. So by running to the end as quickly as possible, that player is just trying to collect their rewards faster. He isn't trying to waste your time, if anything, he's saving you time by ending the activity quickly. It's just bad design making it so you only have to kill five enemies to clear most of the strikes.

14 RespuestasStrikes are for two things, Bounties Pinnacles “Fun” is NOTwhy 99.999% of players run them.

Speedrunning a strike isn't cheesing it lmao.
-
No. Arms Dealer the s a great strike.
-
No. Kill stuff faster or get a fire team. You seem like a really nice person based on some of your responses so 2 friends shouldn’t be hard to find. Maybe...
-
3 RespuestasTaking longer than needed is a waste of time, imo. If a enemy can be skipped then theres no need to kill it unless you are doing a bounty. Dont blame players for skipping, blame bungie for designing it so, that it can be skipped. Dont force your playstyle on others. Either adapt to the faster players or suffer under your own playstyle. A other option would be to find like minded ppl to grind the strikes your way.

2 RespuestasIf I can speed through it, I’m gonna speed through it

3 Respuestas
It’s a waste of my time.
Nah, I'm good. I don't need to waste my time fighting enemies I don't need to. You don't like it? Go in with your own fireteam. Otherwise you can't complain when you get those that don't want to waste time

23 RespuestasYeah that’ll be me flying off into the distance on my sparrow because as you said, they’re a waste of time lol rather get through them, get the pinnacle and have done with it.

While most people don’t play this way learn to rush with them as well as murdering hoards of adds along the way to get your fix per say, I’ve been doing it for years to complete my bounties and most people aren’t competent or even fast enough majority of the time to keep up if you’re efficient just a thought though.
