Probably get hate for this but who cares.
Wanna get more people in? Make it so once you go flawless you can only play other flawless teams for that week.
That being said I’m sure it’s a logistic nightmare. Soooo never mind.

115 RespuestasPeople have to accept that trials isn’t for casual or average players. It’s meant as an arena for the very top tier PvP players. Everyone else is just K/D fodder.

5 RespuestasNo no... He has a point. Unfortunately the hardcore trials players who farm newer players to feed their egos will disagree... And by disagree they will throw insults and say its unfair. Here's how it seems. Doing this gives you the following. - Add incentive for newer people and people who want to try and go flawless could have a better shot. - Means people can get adept loot regardless, as they'll still be going for flawless. - Stops the trials players from farming newbies and feeding their egos to a point where they become MCU villains.

Let me correct the title for you “trials, just an afterthought”
-
This group at Bungie won’t be able to get that done.

2 RespuestasEditado por Olórin: 3/4/2021 7:54:14 PMThis is gunna be long people so ill highlight in Bold my suggestions if you dont fancy my intro. - If they introduced a more casual method then I'd actually participate, i want to but i just dont fancy being too seriously indulged into a game these days. Like, idk if its just me but Freelance ToO sounds pretty funny imo. But, im telling you man, elitism is the main thing why people will say 'anyone can go flawless then' or the 'Youre supposed to fight the best of the best' comment; so my proposal is similar to yours. Have it so the top #1-100, #101-1000 & a Skill Ranking (SR) so general players can face eachother. (or somewhat on those lines, leagues pretty much E.G - higher the League the more reward) - Note: This is an accumulated skill rank shared between each player on a team. So any significantly Lower SR player can ultimately DAMAGE your whole teams overrall loot potential if you were to use your higher SR profile to carry/boost lower SR players. ^ Reasoning: This ofcourse is pretty much similar to what youre suggesting, however, highier leveled players will argue that it isnt fair for other players to gain the same rewards at lower skilled matches. So, to cater for this side, hows about Titles, Extra Rewards each Tier/League a flawless team goes through and unique shaders/Emblems that are rewarded in each Tier/League. ^ Reasoning: This will keep the higher tier players engaged for higher tier loot whilst also fighting against the Best of the Best AND have suitable reason to verse players of similar skill level without feeling like the little guy is cater to. Edit: >What I meant to state originally and I will edit up top my previous comment is that the Team itself has an ELO rating, matching other similar ELO Teams which is where the Extra Rewards and Bonuses lie - based off of team ELO accumulated. Which is my little attempt to prevent Carries and Boosting as then the Loot itself is a direct result from not just the wins but also the whole Teams Accumulated ELO Rating/Skill Rank.< In terms of loot wise, the little guy only gets the standard loot but the higher skilled players fight for not only more rewards each Tier they achieve Flawless on but also extra goodies and your Team's Rank accumulates to the specific League (emblems, shader, weekly title colour) to show off. Win win for everyone, no?
-
Make it a 5 win no mercy!
-
Its a valid point/suggestion. The trouble will start when those people who are really good and can breeze through to flawless do one win resets, to farm tokens and/or specific weapons. Though to be honest, I haven't bothered with trying for flawless since trials of the nine..so these days its just getting the weekly bount/3 wins on all my characters for the weapon - if its the one i want

They should make it like a three tier system. Once you go in to the next tier you can't go back to the previous one. Each tier would have the adept weapon being offered for the week so you can farm for a good roll multiple times. The higher tiers could also offer different armor pieces with high stats in the different tiers. This will make it so the first tier will have less sweats allowing guardians to have access to the high level gear without all the gate keeping. This would also allow the sweats to keep farming for the weapon and better gear at their own discretion and keep cheaters from just being general a holes.

27 RespuestasThat would remove the whole point of going flawless.

2 RespuestasRemove loss counter an I’m on board with this. It’s time to make pvp in this game worthless like it should have always been from the beginning.
-
I already stated you get one card per character per week. That’s it. One card until you lose 3 games. Of course this would assume a real anti-cheat system.
-
How about drop it period. Ruined the game in my opinion.

Editado por Meow Fairy: 3/4/2021 1:32:31 AMWouldnt change a damn thing. Top tiers players are mainly doing recovs. In fact your idea would increase the ammount of players doing recovs because nobody would want to do a full trial pass against sweats who managed to get flawless and also cheaters.

never mind indeed.......because that's not the problem.

3 RespuestasEditado por Jet2Holiday: 3/3/2021 8:36:29 PMIt is not going to work. Sweaties will then keep resetting card until the very end of the weekend and farm lower teams until then. When they are done then they'll go flawless. Trials model just doesn't work. How many times in how many different ways does Trials have to fail until everyone realizes that it doesn't work!
-
Or just make it CBMM because winning seven games in a row is already hard enough for most players.

Trials of Osiris Announcer <as both flawless teams stare each other theatrically>: Now is the time. Two Titans meet - as it was written.

would be nice to try it for a weekend
