Imma be honest with ya chief, I have zero sympathy. Yes this time around it isn't flashy, but honestly Titans have been bag tagged by the exotic armor team far more often. Each class has those that are kinda meh (I'm a hunter main and Oathkeeper, Khepri, and Bombardiers are a few to point out). The point is that you win some and you lose some. Y'all lost this round but I'd hands down take that exotic y'all got over Precious Scars anyday.

  • I think there’s ways to get a lot of use out of some exotics that get binned pretty quickly. Example - Oathkeepers. Pair it with Le Monarque and bow mods, along with a quickdraw kinetic and you’ve got a reallllly solid PvP set. You can hold the bow charge permanently whilst running around, quick aim and release (and with Oathkeepers it’s always a perfect draw), swap to kinetic, bop bop bop.

  • Oh don't get me wrong, there are definitely uses for some of those I mentioned. I'm just saying that some are more hits than others. Not everything can be a Nighthawk, a Geomag, or the new Thundercrash one. There are plenty that are always thrown out that you can find creative uses for. Notice I didn't mention Mechaneers Tricksleeve? Many hate it. I have a love for them. It's kinda a whatever floats ya boat kinda deal.

  • I get you. Agreed, there are some exotic armour pieces that are magnitudes above others for a generally neutral game (Hallowfire/Helm XIV/Geomags/Celestial etc.). Looking at it how you’ve addressed it, yeah, there are a lot of niche pieces that only really lean into a very specific use (like Oathkeepers).

  • Yeah exactly. I would definitely argue we could use some wholesale Aeon levels of buffs to a ton of these exotics. Is it going to magically make every hunter main bows and Oathkeeper? Not a chance. But it could make a hunter look at a situation and be like "hey, that added new affect for x exotic actually gives me a new and optimal option of tackling this threat". Are you still gonna see nighthawk, geomag, and cuirass of falling star in dps? Yeah. But give people a reason to switch off those exotic pieces when not in those situations.

  • I couldn’t agree more with the idea that some exotics getting some work done. I’m part of the general problem, I always carry the same exotic armour pieces (Warlock - Nazarec’s/Geomags/Sunbracers/Phoenix Protocol) and don’t really even spend much time looking through the others in my collection to see if there are any other builds I could rock, I’ve just got into a steady comfy spot. I’m definitely keen on giving the Aeon Cultist stuff a spin to see what it’s like with my fireteam when we can all get on. I think I’m actually going to go rinsing through my vault to see what’s in there and what I can do with them now, see if there’s any off centre builds I can run 👍
