I think both are possible, but i think I'd prefer Soulfire.

You see, these subclasses LITERALLY keep me up at night. Here's my rant. There's so many ways they can go. Light subclasses aren't limited to elements, because void is technically not an elemental energy. In games like WoW, shadow magic eventually becomes void magic because it's so powerful. But in destiny lore, the void is a substrate of the underlying universe which is absent of light and dark, making light and dark, purely a construct of sentience. Therefore, void is pure energy, and the universes backdrop becomes neutral. The elements and magic are all neutral, because they all stem from the void. So the classes don't have to be elemental, and could already be under our noses. The stasis mines the fallen have been using since... forever, and we were all like whattt stasis this is new, but it was RIGHT there. So possible elemental subclasses? Earth/water. I feel like solar takes wind and fire. Possible non elemental subclasses seen in game? Hive magic / Soulfire (not much lore on that) Nightmare. Taken. Probably a few more smaller ones I'm skipping over. The hive magic and stuff does make organic growths, so hive, earth, and water, could honestly mesh up like stasis, poison, and corruption are doing right now. There's a speculation. I'd love to harness taken, and be able to throw down a big ball of blight and summon your own little army of wimps until the CPU destroys the ball in the middle type thing. Or to take it further, they can implement the last two subclasses however they decide to make them and get them ironed out before Lightfall, then each Light and Dark each get a new subclass. Light gets the pure light energy, and dark with pure dark. My friend and I reran the entire campaign looking for clues the last week. And my mind has been just piecing things together in no particular fashion lol food for thought

Editado por bferguson6031: 2/28/2021 3:34:14 AMWell, you called it soulfire. That’s a rare occurrence on these forums. Edit: wow, even the replies saying corruption? Try turning on game dialogue guys, does wonderful for your understanding of the game. Literally Ana bray explains soulfire in the Nokris strike. No excuse for saying “poison” or “decay.” That’s all soulfire you’re using.

20 RespuestasMost likely one? Soulfire (even if it’s not from the Darkness). Egregore isn’t an element. At least I doubt it’ll appear as one. In LightFall we’ll likely get either a darkness manipulation of the Physical Laws (motion, time, gravity etc) or the more likely one being what I’ve dubbed “Miasma” (Nightmare essence). We won’t or at least shouldn’t use Taken energy. I can’t see SIVA being a darkness element and more of a balance one. Maybe thrown in with Water and Awoken magics. Even if only one of these is an actual “element”.

Honestly, I genuinely don't want anything to else to come along until Bungie update the light classes similar to how Stasis is set out. After that, fill yer boots.

hive green magic. air/winds

Editado por Ricochet 049: 2/23/2021 4:33:18 PMPowers that stand in direct opposition to the standard light trio. Solar is opposed by stasis. Obstruction vs ark Mass/gravity vs void ?

Corruption.

4 RespuestasHot-dog water. Gotta be.

While reading some replies I had a random thought. What if they made it so you could make subclasses work together. Now right now I can't think of how any current subclasses would work together. So my best way of explaining this is by using a example of we were able to use water So let's say one person uses whatever ability that would essentially soak the enemy, their teammate could come around and hit it with a arc ability and it would essentially fry them. Yeah more than likely we won't get water as a subclass, god I hope we don't honestly. But I have been up for 10 minutes and I am feeling brain dead so please take this with a grain of salt

14 RespuestasSince Stasis is the antithesis of Solar, I'd like to see a subclass opposite to Arc or Void.

7 RespuestasBecause of all the casuals and uninformed wanting Soulfire, Bungie might cave and do that, shitting on the games lore and ruining it 🤢🤮 Soulfire. Is. Not. Darkness. You need a worm pact to wield Soulfire. It is Worm/Hive magic.

3 RespuestasEditado por Foxlariat: 2/23/2021 8:30:10 AMwould soulfire be green or purple? i’d hope purple because a green glow on my solstice helmet wouldn’t look good imo

Editado por PhantomBrown: 2/23/2021 8:39:12 AMProbably nothing. The way people have whined about stasis I would say making anything newer is on the back burner.

Probably going to be the plant stuff we see in the Presage mission. If that's what you mean by Egregore, then yeah. But seeing comments in this thread, and info elsewhere, of folks saying Egregore is a being or entity, so if it'll be called that, I can't say.

6 RespuestasWell, the next DLC is called witch queen. But then again, how we will get this new power is what bothers me.
