update: mom said she doesn't want one in the house because "they're cold slippery turds" and she's had nightmares of being chased by a snake

I wanted a snake too but my mom is also extremely against snakes, though now I have multiple lizards. Maybe try asking for a lizard. Just show ur mom cute leopard gecko and bearded dragon pictures and hopefully she’ll comply.
