Well done Bungie,
My posts are usually complaints, but this time I felt I needed to give some kudos.
The gun, the suspense and atmosphere, the mechanics, the sound design, the boss. All superb and by far my favorite mission in all of D1 or D2.
This mission took me back to the first time my guardian awoke in the cosmodrome all those years ago and forged ahead unarmed through the first few parts of the wall. That feeling of not know what was around the corner while hearing strange noises behind you sent chills down my spine.
My first encounter with the boss had me spooked. I aimed my trusty Anarchy at the big baddy and sent a round down range while he was obscured by the fog in the room. Only, the round sailed through him as he spookily teleported to mere feet from me. Not gonna lie, I jumped a little and may have even peed alittle, but man, oh man was that fun!
The gun is so amazing too! Not because it's OP, but because it makes me smile. When I earned it, I immediately loaded into a strike. The 2 other guardians with me had the gun as well and the whole time it sounded like a wild west shootout from some 1950s era movie. I couldn't stop laughing. The only other weapon to make me feel this way has been Anarchy. There is nothing like setting a trap and watching wave after wave of enemies sizzle away.
Bungie, whoever you have on the team that did this quest needs to do all of the work from here on out.

I really liked it too, and the rifle is great. I wish I had known it is only available once per account per week. I thought it was glitched when my other two characters could not get it. The quest on the map showed a pinnacle reward available for them, but random powerful legendary gear dropped.

Used nothing but the gun since I got it... it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time..

All for something that will be dismantled in hopefully a year

[/quote] I know most liked it but honestly I found it a bit tedious... just more running around being intentionally underleveled .... ugggg I think I'm just burnt out on this game and it's hamster wheel of chores. Having to re-run it over and over just to get different rolls just sound extremely boring....

3 RespuestasGun looks ass, slow firing, slow reload, exotic perk is rapid hit, uugghh

Iol I love how much praise bungie is getting for this 1 little quest and for the gun. You all do realize that this gun and this quest is just another thing they copied from warframe right? Lol.
-
I thought it was boring and quit
-
I would say ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ if I was able to finnish the new exotic quest :,(

I can't get the first data pad to activate.

1 RespuestaDid it today with a few randoms with no mic. It’s really good but I’m not a fan of the jumping crap. It’s always been my biggest weakness in Destiny. I always seem to choke. Just like in Harbinger on a few of those jumps I always have people waiting on me while I die 3 or 4 times. For that reason only is why I did that one once and this one once just to say I did. I don’t want to go back in to either one just for that aspect alone. I hate being that guy.
-
Yeah, I gotta admit, it’s pretty good. It felt like the right amount of difficulty too. I doubt I’ll want to play it on Master Difficulty.

13 RespuestasJust tried to solo it, made it to the boss, figured out the mechanics but I am too weak with 1260. This was the most fun I had in a long time in Destiny, fun enough that I backed out and play it again tomorrow with LFG :-D

This was seriously a great mission. Enjoyed everything about it. Great job.

Editado por OhtheHugeManity5: 2/19/2021 12:05:26 PMEver since Destiny came out I was hoping for it to feel like not just a looter-shooter, but a lonely exploration type game. I mean, we're reclaiming a ruined Solar System that has been overrun by hostile forces, recovering all of humanity's old awesome technology. It's the perfect setup. I got that general vibe in vanilla D1, because everything was still new and had some mystery at that point, but naturally that intrigue withered away with time. This mission proved that Destiny could be exactly that if Bungie put time and passion into creating it. It does all that stuff I was hoping for from Destiny way better than anything else the franchise has put out. I mean, we're literally exploring a derelict alien spaceship in the darkness of space surrounded by godly forces we hardly understand while we fight space zombies in an attempt to uncover the mystery of a missing ally. It's fantastic. Only a few other things have made me feel so isolated and unsafe. And those are my first time entering the Black Garden, quietly working through the Dreadnaught in Kings Fall, and the early days entering the Pit in Crota's End. Same vibes as that.

2 RespuestasQuest is great cannot argue that at all. My only winge is if they can make such a great quest how can they make such a shit game. Did they outsource it to someone else.
-
2 RespuestasThe quest is garbage. Picked up the quest at the end of the day with my warlock because I was leveling that character. Ran it the next day with my hunter because that’s my main. Completed the quest solo and got nothing. I’ve been told it’s because I switched characters. I shouldn’t have been allowed to run it with my hunter if he couldn’t collect. That’s pure BS Bungie.
-
oblivionsHunter You make some valid points and I agree that ever verse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Editado por ΞsnΛχΞ: 2/19/2021 8:02:07 AMI like the gun and the quest in general but the maze part is just annoying and if someone gets booted, they can’t rejoin. Which is a bit ridiculous bc the servers are so bad that this tends to happen. Had to start over twice bc of this issue which had a negative impact on the overall experience.
-
Agree it was fantastic a tad long but fantastic.

15 RespuestasSerious question. What are people using for load out? I can't seem to whittle down the abominations health in the survive room. I'm 1270 and it took forever just to finally kill one of them
-
2 RespuestasI already did it twice today, on my 3rd run I didn’t get another one. Do I have to wait a week? I thought we could farm it!
-
2 RespuestasIf you leave mid way do you get a checkPoint? I’m at the maze and can’t finish it right now
-
17 RespuestasEvery one is using in crucible its bs. I get different guns have different advantages but this ridiculous!

The gun itself isn't to my liking. Not that its bad. Just doesn't click with me. Cant get to grips with the recoil. The mission however is ace. Reminded me of the spooky tension I had when I started D1. Now that I've been hearing about Bungie growing, ohh shit... how I wish for the very same feeling when Witch Queen comes around. This mission should be a base for future gameplay.
