Loads of friends and clanmates would love to be able to take helmets off in combat for various reasons. Lots of Hunters I know would love to have the look that Cayde did. I love the way my character looks and would love to show them off in more places outside social areas. Again, we've seen many Guardians (Lightless and otherwise) without helmets in various areas without an atmosphere in-game, so having an option to hide helmets wouldn't hurt anybody!
Also obviously, for balancing reasons, either remove this option for Exotics or make the option only apply to PvE
1 RespuestaLet us put universal ornaments on exotics.
-
true I like how Cayde looked
-
Ah yes, because nothing bad ever happens when you take off your helmet in vacuum. Can we tune it so that players without helmets can get instant killed after getting headshotted from all weapon types?
-
I thought everybody was hiding their characters' faces after the character customization overhaul a while back? And now you and others want to show your neon-orange haired, electric blue-eyed, and lime green facepainted abominations to the world at large? Why?

1 RespuestaSee, it’s too late now. They probably already have it all set up and know exactly how it’s gonna work. The problem is that Bungie doesn’t communicate to us until they are at that phase so we can’t give feedback to the idea, only the result when it is implemented. Same thing for crossplay, I expect. This is the reason why players have to post negative feedback in forums. Because we aren’t given a chance to give feedback before something happens. For example, Crimson Days. Instead of just saying it wasn’t gonna happen, Bungie could’ve talked about it 2 months ago and said, “we’re thinking of taking it out, what would you guys think?” And players might have said that they actually wanted it. The only thing we get in advance is TWABs and Seasonal trailers, and in both cases, it is too late for player feedback by the time the actual update/season/sandbox change is implemented and manifests itself.

1 RespuestaWith no helmet on, a single bullet to the head from a sidearm would be a one hit kill. XD Would be pretty dumb to wear no helmet in the crucible.
-
Only if they also expand the facial customization options (BEARDS. C'MON.), and let us change our appearances WITHOUT creating a whole new Guardian to do it.

13 RespuestasWhy stop there? Allow us to hide everything except class items and kill hive gods in our underwear.

5 RespuestasHonestly would be kind of dumb to see a human character running around on the moon with no air and no helmet. Unless they constantly died from asphyxiation... then it would be funny.

Editado por an Ape with a d2 addiction: 2/3/2021 2:05:35 PMThe facial graphics changes made my grumpy bulky bald middle aged war vets turn into 21 year old vouge models. Now the helmets stay on. Forever. Seriously though OP's a great idea. And for the love of god and personal sanity let us re-customize our faces at least once while you're at it. Dont mind if you break something, but let me at least fix it.

I wish they had a decent character creation. It's not change since Destiny one started. I've seen games 10 years old that have a better character creation
-
I don’t know. That would just highlight the fact that the face models and textures were somewhat -blam!-ed up in the D1 to D2 transition. And we still don’t have any way of changing our features (besides deleting characters obviously).
-
Agreed. Not sure why this is not an option after all these years.
-
its such a simple thing to implement, just put a visibility toggle in your inventory next to the helmet, for hunters one next to the cloak thats tied to the hood Id also like to have this toggle beside every weapon slot, because i hate the look of carrying weapons on your back. especially heavy weapons. another easy thing is letting us edit our characters faces, something that's been asked for every year since destiny started
another thing that's been asked for forever is having a better character creator, namely one with facial hair. d2 could have easily done this but it was easier just to copy paste d1s cc
3 RespuestasI'll get on board when we can port armour from our D1 vaults over
-
Are you trying to say you'd like to see your guardian playing hide the helmet? [Snigger]
-
I tried to show people my helmet but I got chased out of the park and arrested 😭
-
There's a joke in there somewhere 🤷♂️

I have to laugh at the regret of everyone who made a clown character. “The helmet stayed on”

2 Respuestas700 silver to hide your helmet.

12 RespuestasPVP crybabies will start a shitstorm. Just make it PVE only. problem solved.

3 RespuestasEditado por Tâxx, Herald of the IRS: 2/2/2021 8:43:47 AMPretty much every place we've been to has had its atmosphere terraformed by the Traveler so it could support human life, so obviously having no helmet wouldn't be a problem. Even the moon has an atmosphere of some sort is think since Eris and Ikora have both been seen there without helmets. And if we go into an area that doesn't have an atmosphere (like the jumping section of DSC) just temporarily put our helmet on in that area and take it off when we get back to an area with air (like in Mass Effect 3).

1 RespuestaNah cuz my characters are ugly af lol

The ONLY time I see it being a balance issue (I saw your spoiler portion) is in trials, and even then it tells you what exotic they run regardless, doesnt it? So I dont think it would effect pvp whatsoever. As anyone who cares enough to look at what people are using in pvp anyways go thru the menus.
