Yeah, I mean why bother? Nothing we attain matters. Game isn’t even that fun without permanent loot....
-
Cracks really begin to show, huh? Man you know, I used to grind hours/days/weeks for one gun. And attaining that gun made the time spent worth it, to me anyway. Knowing I could use that gun (or not-my choice) for anything that might come up made it feel worth it. Now, they’re completely game-play dependent and the world can see how thin it really is. Nobody wants to invest in disposability and inconsequential nihilism. Dead Orbit was a meme they took literally. So out of touch
-
I grinded away for my Loaded Question which I loved, i used that gun all the time, now what is there to grind for? A rocket launcher from the raid that was released pre nerfed and is really only good for gambit? No thanks.

So true. I didn’t even realize how shallow the game was until they said they were taking our loot. The loot made the game. Without it, all we have are the same strikes and PvP maps. The same bounties we have been doing for years. Nothing really changes... It’s ironic. If Bungie hadn’t implemented Sunsetting, I would STILL be playing their game and giving them my money.
-
A lot of us would. Kinda makes me wonder who they’re making it for anymore
-
So I got in an argument about that with someone else on the forum. Apparently Sunsetting is for new light players, as it “wipes the slate clean.” It sure isn’t for the benefit of players that have been here since the beginning. I’m pretty smart though, I can take a hint. If my money and myself aren’t wanted around here, I’ll just move on. Their loss, not mine.
-
Unless it’s ONLY for New Light players. Nobody stays “New Light” for long. Once they start figuring out their own style and kitting out gear to fit, they’ll be just as morose when it’s taken away. Bungie reminds me of The Architect from The Matrix “There are levels of survival we are prepared to accept”
-
Thing is, I’m not sure Bungie retains a lot of new lights. Sure people are probably constantly trying the game out, but how many stay? Making the game “free to play” was a last ditch effort at keeping player numbers up. Let’s see how long that lasts.
-
It already hasn’t. They got rid of 99% of what was free about the game. They sold out the “New Light” players as soon as GamePass signed the check lol. Their greed is nothing if not predictable
