After reading the recent TWAB it only reinforces what most of us already know. You don't actually listen to your playerbase. When its almost time to make changes you pull up your weapon usage chart and base them on that.
"Fusions arent being used ok lets give them a range buff after we just nerfed it."
"No one is using smgs lets buff them and pretend we heard the players."
"Everyone is using swords for pve lets nerf them."
The last one is just BS because it is ONE sword that is being used. And its PvE. So big whoop.
What are you going to give us in return for sunsetting? Where is all this content to replace the massive amount removed? Because all I see is reskinned recycled content to perpetuate a grind loop while sprinkling in more microtransactions.
With some chart-based blanket adjustments.
Edit: As an afterthought I would like to add that this is more frustration than anything. Ive put more time into this than most games and i dont want to see it die unless it continues down the road of "our time is meaningless."
In the future ill try to make these more direct on the issues and try to veil my dissatisfaction.

Please hold. Your call will be taken in the order in which it was received. Your wait time is approximately nine months.

Busy dial tone....

They can’t even answer a question about the removed VA’s, communication just isn’t a skill bungie has.

1 RespuestaBungie: 🙈🙉🙊 I think that sums up everything

3 RespuestasThe fusion range nerf is a bad move. High-impact fusions will probably dominate again. I agree, using usage stats for balancing is moronic. That’s why things like Arbalest that are broken haven’t been nerfed. Hell, when Erentil could kill at 70 meters, it rarely even broke the top 5.

9 RespuestasThis is Bungie: Swords sucked. Nobody used them. They made them good. People used them. Now they will make them suck again. This is the lazy and insane Bungie way. They don’t have the talent or work ethic to do things the proper way. That’s an obvious fact.
When its almost time to make changes you pull up your weapon usage chart and base them on that.
Because that is basically what Bungie's sandbox team has always done. They make changes based on their metrics and their ideas of how the game should play. Which is why so many of the changes that they do make don't make sense through the lens of actually playing the game. IOW, Bungie knows WHAT is happening..but is tone-deaf to WHY it is happening. Like: Everyone is overusing swords becasue WE made them massively overpowered....have left every other Legendary class of heavy weapons UNDERPOWERED....and then designed all of our boss fights to reward the use of heavy weapons that do tremendous BURST damage. (Like swords......)
What are you going to give us in return for sunsetting? Where is all this content to replace the massive amount removed? Because all I see is reskinned recycled content to perpetuate a grind loop while sprinkling in more microtransactions.
They've already answered that question and your concerns. 1. Replacing three years worth of loot-table bloat in a single expansion was never going to happen. Ever. That aspect of this was inevitable pain baked into this by Bungie letting this problem go for three years. 2. (Even when there isn't an historic pandemic) It takes Bungie about a year to make any sort of major changes to the game, and then have it show up in the product. The weapons we are playing now were already in the development pipeline when Sunsetting was announced (last spring). So we are not likely to see the weapons whose design philosophy was affected by it, until "Witch Queen" next year. 3. Bungie as acknowledged that the game doesn't have enough loot...and they don't have the developmental bandwidth to keep it supplied (Its always been a problem. Sunsetting is just forcing them to finally fix it). So they've committed to hiring new people for Weapons Development so that they can address theat deficiency.

They only respond to dr lupo, or content creators that don’t play the game

1 RespuestaBungie isn't there, the lights were in but nobody was home

1 Respuesta
Submachine Guns are largely outclassed by Auto Rifles at medium range, and by Sidearms at short range, with player feedback often mentioning how hard they are to control. To address this feedback, we’re introducing the following change
Well this quote shows they are apparently finding feedback somewhere and it’s definitely not here

8 RespuestasYou know, going from D1 year 3 to D2 base game reality should have set in about how they "listen" with 90% of the community. 4 years later and some still have this strange idea in their head that they do listen when hundreds of times in the last 4 years they put it right in front of everyone's eyes that they don't and some of you still ignore it. The ones that keep lying to their selves? That is on them for ignoring the truth and the more they ignore it the worse it's going to get. Here say it with me. They...Do...Not...Listen....To...The...Player base. Now was that hard? They do what they want to do, not what anyone of you would hope they would do, and you can make thousands of posts like this and it won't change a damn thing about it.
-
2 RespuestasThey also acknowledged the fact that shotguns are WAY to frequent and snipers suck AND THEYRE STILL NERFING SNIPERS.
-
2 RespuestasNope - no one left at Bungle that is actively working on Destiny. They left a big bag of cash beside Luke, and he's so absorbed watching D1 Crucible matches and throwing money at the screen that they could all tip toe out and move into the "Matter" wing. Destiny doesn't "Matter" anymore..
-
11 RespuestasDestiny is on it's last legs. I'm sure Bungle has moved all it's creative talent and the majority of their work force over to "Matter", and the money they get for Destiny is funding it. So basically Destiny doesn't "Matter" anymore..
-
2 RespuestasBungo will start to listen when the people start speaking with their wallets. Quit throwing money at them
