Sunsetting is another reason that I’m not currently playing Destiny. At times I’ve spent hundreds of hours grinding for an Orewins Maul. Only to discover it’s capped. Now I get the pleasure to grind for it again! HATE IT! Sunsetting is BS. Add Stasis to PVP and you’ve got a game going the wrong way. Destiny is a non rewarding, Slowed Game that’s lost its Mojo. In fact I’d say Bungie froze the fun out of Destiny.

I am not satisfied with sunsetting nor I support it completely yeah, they could’ve made it better with more gears and stuff. But maybe I am too early to comment on it, Dev have said S13 we’ll have a state if D2 and from there it’s gonna get amplified. I just want to ask one question though, if Mountaintop wouldn’t be sunsetted would you be using any other weapon in your kinetic slot? I am sure the answer would be No! Cuz it was the best weapon in the game. Revoker, beloved would never be swapped out if they were not sunsetted which is a fact. And why would I even play the new content which can’t even give weapons which are better then what I already have, I would not that’s a simple fact. Now, of course that doesn’t mean that they just keep on sunsetting our things without giving us new powerful toys to play with and that also doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t give us new content. They kinda did a right thing but executed it very poorly, but again I may be too early in saying this. They gotta find a perfect balance and it needs to happen pretty soon.

No one said you had to like it. Just that you had to accept it is necessary if this game is going to survive another three years. Some things aren’t changeable simply because we don’t like them. Life on Life’s terms.

Everything said the only reason anyone should be mad about sun setting is the simple fact they took content away that we all paid for ! The black armoury and the menagerie are things that were sold to us that are no longer available .

There is an easy fix for this, just don’t play until all content has been released for the game and they move on to d3 or shut down. [spoiler]problem solved[/spoiler] No more sun setting then.

Wrong. You can't speak for the entire community on this. A lot of people actually like the idea of sunsetting. I personally think it is a good system but needs to be executed better than it was. One of the biggest problems I have is that they haven't added too many new weapons, even though they did add a substantial number in beyond light. The other problem is the reissuing of old weapons. In my opinion they should never reissue old weapons. It creates a situation where if they don't let people infuse their old copies then people feel cheated to have to regrind the same weapons, but if they DO let people infuse their old copies then it defeats the purpose of sunsetting. Bungie needs to know that they have to be creating lots of NEW weapons and not just reissuing old ones. If they do this then there will be no major problem with weapons sunsetting that I can see. I want to clarify that my argument is mainly focused on weapon sunsetting, but I will talk a little bit about armor sunsetting. I think it is mostly to make players regrind stat rolls and masterworking materials, which may seem stupid, but high stat roll armor is used as a good reward from some activities, and masterworking materials are the main appeal of master nightfalls. If you had the same perfect stat roll armor fully masterworked forever, you would have little incentive to play certain activities. These may seem like bad reasons to sunset armor, but the chances of getting high stat rolls are pretty good from the right activities, and it doesn't take that long to accumulate masterworking materials, and you have the armor for an entire year in most cases. So it's not like you have to be constantly grinding, but there is still good reason to keep getting good armor and materials. Even though I don't mind armor sunsetting, I can understand that people think it's bad. However, weapon sunsetting is arguably necessary in order to make new weapons enticing without creating power creep.
