• A stasis puppy would be pretty neat though. Like those crystal foxes from Star Wars, but stasis... and dogs. It’s not puppies and rainbows yet.

In the Lore: Aunor hunts down freewilled Rogue Lightbearers, she captures them and then takes them to a "Reeducation Camp" Which from what I understand of that word is just another term for a militant fascist center bent on stamping out freethinking individuality and replacing it with simple minded dogmatism. Aunor is ruthless in my fanfictions: As she stands upon her soap box declaring that the world should be cleansed with Praxic Fire. She is the antagonist of my stories: the grand inquisitor. (Lawful Neutral) The Marshal is a self-proclaimed law-woman whose jurisdiction is any where there is lawlessness(usually the Reef) She wields both Dark & Light simultaneously to protect the Lightless of all good people regardless of their species. She is my Warlock and Protagonist. (Lawful Neutral) I don't sugar coat the Light or Dark, They are both tools: just as a Gaurdians weapons are tools. Neither is good or evil, but the people wielding them can make evil or good choices.

  • Also read The Dark Future. In that reality Ana Bray, stalwart protector of the City and hero of Twilight Gap, is turned by stasis. The very act of wielding it turned her ro Darkness and into a murderer.

  • I assume she fell victim to the Whispers that are often associated with the darkness. We have never been given a proper explanation of the Whispers people hear but I have always been under the assumption that Darkness has Mind Dominating powers: Thus why Taken could be bent to the will of Oryx and why those who experience fear are plagued by Nightmares. I would actually love another Dark Element built around conjuring, mind controling adds, and fear debuff effects. I will look up that Lore Book after work.

  • And you see why Aunor would fear the Darkness, right? Those same whispers, dreams of power and opulence, have consumed too many. If you hate Aunor, what do you think of Shin Malphur then?

  • Shin is in the same boat as my Character I use in my writing. Edgey Space cowboy who certainly isn't perfect and acts on what they believe is justice. In fact, though Aunor and The Marshal are fundamentally at odds with each other in my writting their mindsets function the same: Both believe they are doing whats right and act accordingly. I feel Shin is mislead in killing off any Lightbearer who dabbles in the dark. Though I think he stopped killing Lightbearers after learning of the Young Wolf. I feel a Lightbearer should only be permakilled if their as horrible as Dregen Yor or a murderous Warlord. If in my Fan Fictions Aunor had not become the Grand Inquisitor for example then her and The Marshal would have aligned and been allies if not friends. The Marshal feels all life is sacred: even the lives of our enemies and she seeks diplomacy with the Eliksni when possible.

  • But Aunor is understandably wary of darkness. How many great heroes have fallen to the path of sorrow?

In Elsie's timeline almost everyone had fallen. Extremes and absolutes are contradictory to balance which my character values. I really need to look up Ulan Tan and see how much Lore he has. He had some philosophies about balance from what little I know of him. To me one can become as Blinded by the Light as they can be corrupted by the dark. "Like moths to the flame they are blinded by the light. I find that it is better to wade through twilight than to be consumed by the night so from the shadow of your gods let your souls take flight! " - Written by me years ago. Shin & Aunors feelings about darkness are understandable but just as Elsie and the Young Wolf have to be careful not to get corrupted they have to be careful not to be blinded.
