Skill based matchmaking (PvP)
Hi Bungie.
I think you should seriously think about bringing back SBMM in some form. Iron Banner was more like Mayhem than Iron Banner. Wouldn't want to be a new player jumping into that for the first time, you would get put off completely form PVP. You say trials is for everyone, i don't think it is, you have to be so good to stand a chance. If you made Trials SBMM you would get some many more players playing it, I know its meant to be end game of the PVP world but i dont think there are many people playing it.

I would rather have SBMM as well. I stopped playing IB after they made the change. It's just not fun. I know the fanboyz will just say, "Dood, git gud....". Bah, If I have to "git gud" in the Iron Banner, then that's a problem.

I’m not a PvP player very much at all but a friend of mine is and would like the get into trials some and I would be willing to play with him there but for the utter garbage farming and stuff in tier 1-3 that turns people off. Oh... and the trials chest should work like the raid chest to encourage targeted farming on those upper tiers. 2) Entry level PVP experience is just bad... not necessarily because of stasis but because the upper tier players grief and farm entry level/lower skill players to the point they leave and don’t come back. I enjoyed PvP a good bit about a year ago but halfway through worthy I wasn’t engaged anymore. 3) I wish weapon tuning wasn’t so ham fisted... autos felt great through the summer for the first time since year 1 D2 except for 600’s were a hair overturned. Now they feel underwhelming again and I think I could lay into someone’s crit spot while they aren’t looking and still be out dueled by a 120. Certain scouts and pulses feel ok but there aren’t any maps for that range. HC are oppressive right now (I saw something like 3.5 million kills vs less than a million for all other primaries combined or something like that...?)

3 RespuestasSBMM does NOT belong anywhere near qp. 1. Qp is meant as a playlist to use interesting loadouts and a place to have less stressful lobbies where it doesn’t matter if you win or lose. 2. The connections are already bad now, adding SBMM would only make them even worse while increasing que times. 3. Lobby balancing is already heavily at play in qp. 4. If you want an SBMM mode, go play Survival or Elim.

SBMM has never left. Lobby balancing is still very much a thing in all mm PvP activities. And Lobby balancing by definition is a form of SBMM.

They need to give players a choice. Exactly the same playlist, choose your matchmaking. Let the players decide.

Matchmaking preferences is the best answer in my opinion. On its own, SBMM takes the casual gameplay away from Quickplay for players in the upper echelon. CBMM has the potential to hurt the lower tier players by putting them against teams they have no chance against. Instead of neglecting one side to help the experience of others, they should give you the option to select a preference.

You start off playing easier matches then progress till your paired up vs high tiers towards the end. Sbmm would destroy the intended goal

OMFG Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!! No SBMM in any game ever period! Stop trying to help the "-blam!-" of america movement. I would rather get destroyed every dam game than have even the slightest bit of SBMM.

3 RespuestasSBMM has no place in gaming. Ranked and Unranked would be preferable to oppression thanks. FYI what's killing trials is bad balance and cheating. You fix those you breathe life into trials. Just make it more rewarding for even playing matches and you put the icing on the cake. I'm talking sense... someone Ninja me real quick.

New players start at 1050. I can't even begin to tell you how many 1110s to 1160s I played all week. It's literally like killing mice with a S&W 500. There should be popups saying that if you go into this playlist at your current power, you will get straight fisted with brass knuckles, do you wish to forfeit your interest in Destiny at this time?

Idiotic that they ever removed it. Talk about a myopic self-defeating strategy. Allowing, no, ENCOURAGING, the free farming and exploiting of a whole player range by another could never improve connections. Wonder which year they'll realise it.

I sorta like the challenge of fighting people way above my skill level. Of getting that lucky stasis melee off on a silly Trials player and then shooting them with Jotun and djing their corpse as their sweaty team descends upon my sick beats like rabbid dogs tearing into rare beef flanks.
