For whatever it's worth...no script, just things of the top of my head.
Valor: If Control is to continue to be the main playlist were most players go. It wouldn't hurt to have a freelance. This implementation has been well received everytime so just don't see why not.
Area/Radius of Effect: This one personally erks me. The only three examples I have off the top of my head are smoke bombs, the control point ring, and duskfield grenades. If you know what these are then you will know that there is a visual representation for all. Their affects exceed the visual representation and it bothers me so much. "What I see is what I get" or at least that's what I would like to happen. Doesn't have to be a nerf. What I ask is an accurate depiction of what's happening around me. If that makes any sense.
Maps: Neglected. You known it, I know it. Nothing more to be said here.
Spawning: Correlates with maps. This is more for 6vs6. To me, the main cause is the continous improvements to movement on subclasses. I'm a titan so a current example I can tell you is the Behemoth Super. I've killed Redguy and Blueguy twice in one super before because I manage to get to their spawn side. Additionally, I feel like I see enemy players spawn right before my eyes more often now and vise versa I spawn in front of them. Bungie, IF you decide to bless the PvP player base with (BRAND) NEW maps I ask that you think about player movement.
Stasis: this is a primary concern for the community so I feel this is covered. Regardless I'll give my feedback. As a long time destiny player I feel that you (Bungie) do this more often then you should. It this point I am convinced that this a clear marketing strategy to strongly persuade hesitant current and/or new players to purchase DLC. I like to believe this because if that's not true...well... It sucks more to know that you (Bungie) are more disconnected from the players base and their feedback then just doing it purposefully.
It's been a crazy year. Thank you far you're hard work and dedication. Bless you and your loved ones.

PvP is broken

Hit detetion and map layouts need to stop favoring sniping lanes hand cannons and shotguns. Javelin 4 is a good example of a great map layout.
-
First and foremost: stasis needs more tuning. Second: the availability of secondary needs to die like it did in D1. Enough of people relying on their OHKO crutches. Third: Scouts and bows need a tiny buff to become competitive. Scouts need lower zoom, bows need to draw lightning fast. (This still makes perfect draw timing a thing but you could actually fight back)

3 RespuestasMy biggest complaint is the match making. Honestly I’m about to start blocking everyone who goes negative. Bungie won’t give me proper match making then I’ll just make it myself. If bungie won’t keep 0.2-.8 guardians out of my lobby’s I’ll just try and get Xbox to do it. It’s ridiculous that almost an entire team goes negative and matches have come down to “which top 3 players can slay better” and that’s assuming u can get 2 other players on ur team to go positive. Like no joke I think I’ve had more game where 4-5 players on one one team have gone negative than just 3 players going positive. This isn’t just a problem when it’s my team. U think I enjoy destroying a team and then seeing maybe 1 player going positive getting a 1.05? And that’s KD/A. In reality they more than likely went negative in terms of KD. Crucible is such shit that if ur just an average player. .94 or less u can literally just go AFK and it won’t change the outcome of the game. And if ur .95-1.15 ur literally making such a small difference that u can go afk or try, doesn’t matter. Everything comes down to which 1.2+ guardians can farm better. And if ur that .8 or lower guardian playing the game you just helping the enemy team farm and win. I’m sorry if it sounds mean but that’s bungies fault for making 66% of a team useless every game. If ur an average to below average player ur pointless in the crucible arguably a burden thanks to bungie. Again I’m sorry if that’s mean but that’s the way bungie designed crucible this season. Not saying we need SBMM but better lobby balancing at the very least broken into two tiers of .95 and above and .94 and below. If u don’t want true SBMM fine but we gotta find a middle ground to keep from complete pub stomps resulting in at least 50% of a team having a .8 KD/A and below.

We have control all the time plus a week once a month with Iron Banner. I’m sick of control. Bring back Clash, permanently! It’s one of those basic play lists that should be in any PVP! All the time!!! Also I would change the match making between the two too: Control; SBMM, teams allowed Clash; CBMM freelance. Control is meant to be the best game mode for new players so it makes sense to protect those new players from people like me that wants to stomp them. Fireteams can be made up of players from all over the world, I know I live in England and often team up with people as far away as America. This breaks connection based match making and creates a laggy crucible. So it makes sense putting CBMM on a freelance playlist where fireteams can’t break the match making.

1 RespuestaIn general this is pretty good. I don't agree with every single detail but it's solid. [quote]Spawning: Correlates with maps. This is more for 6vs6. It is way more common this season to get spawn killed and/or see someone on the opposing team spawn. In not 100% convinced it is a result of stasis movement, but maybe. But either way it is bad. In previous seasons I've been impressed with how little this happens. This season not so much.

2 RespuestasPvp has always been what carried this game between content releases. Otherwise, you would farm rolls in pve (mostly for pvp). Now there’s no need to farm anything in the game since it’s all being sunset sooner or later. Pvp with its lack of maps, modes and gear is at its worst state in the history of the franchise. Which is a shame because outside of Stasis the sandbox is in a really nice spot atm. Outside of DSC I think this expansion, which brought about all these changes, is prob the worst thing to happen to Destiny since D2 vanilla launch. Even the raid is starting to lose it’s luster.

Team balancing is the worst thing to ever happen to d2 honestly. I’ll get lucky enough when I get teammates who still have thumbs LMAO.

Next season bungie will rereleased all the maps and allow us to use a neutered version of pinnacle weapons and the community will carry water for bungie as the best developer ever. Anyway. Development is hard. So dont expect much from bungie. Activision was never the problem. They actually were better because they gave bungie the development power to produce actual content and incentive to do.more...but bungie realized there was a lot more money for them lazily doling out content, creating a seasonal model and every so.often cycling in and out content like it's a feature. Dont pay. Play free or buy game pass.

4 RespuestasI’m on console as well (PS5). Took 8 months off and bought the dlc because stasis seemed cool and I kinda missed playing. Oh man... stasis is so broken in pvp 😂 we all know it’s going to get addressed. We need new pvp maps and the return of rift and combined arms. Also... what’s up with matchmaking lately? Some lopsided ass games and tremendous lag.
-
Well said, good feedback
-
The spawns are out of whack because everything was designed for 4v4. Spawning needs to be looked at.
-
just treat pvp for what it is -> side content. PvP is just 5% of the content Destiny offers, it's not ment to be balanced or anything, it's a dumb shoot fest, even CoD is more complex than Destiny PvP. stop crying about content nobody (not even bungie) gives a shit and just have fun, people that see what pvp realy is have fun with it, the sad tryhard nerds that cry over this small side content are just losers IRL.
-
Unfortunately, PvP is probably going to be -blam!-ed for the rest of the franchise because of stasis unless they absolutely nerf in into the ground.
-
Yeah this game is not as much fun. PVP is a shit show.

What a cool post, I wish I saw more stuff like this. Just a dude casually sharing some thoughts on the game, not being a bully about it or anything like that, or trying to make it some senior thesis level essay, just chillin. Hell yeah dude 🤙

17 RespuestasHaving freelance won’t solve Controls’e problem. The problem with it is that some tw@ made it “important” to have a 16.34KDA in a game mode where unless you capture the zones you’re going to lose. When you ask the player on your team why they had 0 capture the reply is always their KD was amazing git gud. Which doesn’t really answer the question but never mind. In IB we have a zone capture bounty. It’s Bungie basically saying “capture zones” yet the morons still don’t grasp it.

I can’t even tell you how many times I would have been able to escape and reset if it wasn’t for the freeze mechanic . I’m getting killed by players who would have never killed me before. If you can get me straight up , that’s fine but don’t blindly throw a grenade with a larger radius than the others and no ability to dodge or jump out of it and feel that’s an accomplishment . Yes I’m aggravated with it to the point I’m using it as well because I don’t feel the other abilities can keep up.

1 RespuestaImo there should be no area denial things outside of supers. Witherhoard for example is stupid. Lasts too long and even when you clearly aint stood on it it still gets you even while in the air.
