Imo rp is stupid and doesn't really make sense to me. If you enjoy it more power to you I'm not here to change your opinion.

I think everyone should just ignore newbies who show up and instantly try to establish themselves as the next big bad evil guy, with their dark gods, lovecraftian horrors, and fleet's of starships.

I don’t mean to sound rude, but it kind of sounds like you’re god modding. There shouldn’t [i]be[/i] any unblockable attacks, and if bullets can’t hurt you then that’s a problem in it of itself. And “a transdimensional god” isn’t the kind of thing you should be using as a player. Remember that you aren’t the only person playing; RPs aren’t a place for you to flex your muscles, they’re a place for everyone to get together and have fun. If someone decides to throw themselves high up on the power curve, they usually get blacklisted. I know if you pulled any of those stunts in one of my RPs, I’d step in with my DM powers and tell you to knock it off. Now, all of that comes with a disclaimer; if this was your RP, with you as DM, you can get a little bit a pass. Godlike characters can pass for boss characters, just not player ones. In that case, though, you need to keep your players in mind, and not throw anything completely out of their league at them. If the character is clearly using traditional weaponry, don’t throw a baddie at them who can’t be harmed by traditional weaponry. That’s not fun for anyone. As for battles being drawn out, that one’s up to personal preference. Some people like [i][b][u]NONSTOP HIGH POWER ACTION[/u][/b][/i], others like to get the battles over with and focus on the story. There are usually a few combat-specific RPs floating around for those who just want to fight.
