We all know that most of the population including me hates gambit. But what if they make it into a zombie/survival/hoarde/wave mode like they do in call of duty instead? I think it would be a great idea

3 RespuestasPrison of elders you say? man, D1 is way ahead of D2 lol

Don’t mind Gambit. It’s quite a chill game-mode really - shoot guns, kill baddies, get bounties done and if you want to get sweaty, equip Truth and go and kill the other team. No-one survives if you have ammo. Hilarious!

1 RespuestaEditado por Hexxinq: 12/29/2020 5:30:56 PMNo. Gambit is styled as a PvE PvP hybrid mode. Keep it the way it is. If you want a horde mode, do the event on the Moon, or petition Bungie to add a new game mode. Theres no reason to remove the unique gamemode and replace it with such a generalized and boring one. If the reason why people hate Gambit so much is because they cant kill a single Invader who then proceeds to team wipe them, then maybe try approaching Gambit differently. Remember Gambit Prime? Each teammate could use a unique set of armor that buffed them and whatever, point is, try giving your Gambit team dedicated roles. Have 2 people on your team as the dedicated Invader/Invader Killer, One person to kill Blockers and One person as the Mote collector, while all of them having adequate mob DPS. You can easily kill an invader with a sniper headshot.

31 RespuestasTake away the invader and I’d enjoy gambit much more.

All Gambit needs is a dedicated Freelance playlist, but I had a thought... Change Invasions. Think about it; how many times have you been denied by a selfish teammate that hops in the Invasion Portal ahead of you, and they get NO KILLS. What if multiple teammates, perhaps even the whole team, could invade at once? Invaders are limited to ONLY Primary and Special weapons, no Supers. In exchange, you now have up to four potentially coordinated players still with Wall Hacks hunting the other team amidst the chaos of their own PvE situation. Now you have choices; send over 2-3-or even 4 Invaders, but forego your own Mote Collection or Primeval DPS, in order to more effectively hunt the enemy team and break them.

It’s what it should have been in the first place. Gambit should have been like the prison of elders.
-
2 RespuestasIMO this game needs more activities similar to EP, Menagerie, BW, etc... that is replayable content.
-
TBH, I vote for keeping it the way it is. I love the game type, it is also one of the best ways to grind levels and during events like “the dawning” allows you to get whatever you need.
-
What if they just got rid of it and brought back menagerie as the play loop instead - have it cycle through whatever the raid map is for the year and add bosses and a loot pool.. There’s your solution to Gambit...
-
Yeah, it should honestly just be a permanent 4 or 6 player or maybe even... 8 player? PvE horde mode for players to jump into. They could use older horde mode mechanics inside of it so those ideas don't go to waste and it keeps up some variety within the mode, have multiple maps like Gambit has now. For loot it'd have unique loot like Strikes and Crucible. It would also have a little Chalice/Lure/Mote Synthesizer like object that would allow you to farm specific weapons that are currently in the world pool along with the playlist specific loot to help mitigate RNG for where most of the loot in the game is which is the world pool. But that takes effort which I doubt Bungie wants to put in anyway... so...

Prison of Elders was the horde mode. But always with mines to disable....

I imagine you watched Luckyy's vid.

3 RespuestasImagine something like the dark zone in destiny instead. Powerful ads and guardians roaming maps. We need to extract engrams we get or die to a boss or dark guardian, losing all of them. Better than gambit that’s for sure.
-
Oh my God, no.

I love gambit. When I started playing again, I saw gambit and wondered what it even was. Once I tried it out, I thought is was great. Its a different type of game mode than I was used too, so it added diversity. I wouldn't say most people hate it, I think thats very inaccurate.
-
I can totally get behind that. I’ve always been a fan of firefight from ODST. They should adapt that to gambit and I think for the most part the player base would receive that.

2 Respuestas
We all know that most of the population including me hates gambit.
You should try using facts instead of making an assumption. More than 250,000 play it daily(that's more than anything that doesn't have match making) & a boring repetitive horde mode would be the dumbest thing bungie has ever done. FYI by your logic all None mm actives should be turned into something else has most the community hates them.
-
I'd buy this for a dollar.
-
A zombie style hoard mode would be fun-like the call of duty one
-
I don't hate gambit.. but I would love a hoard mode!
-
Don't hate Gambit honestly and last I checked there are a lot of players that log into it every day. Might not be a bad idea though, just saying.
-
Not feeling it. I believe it will be worse than gambit, and the best thing for gambit is to get rid of it. It will likely just be another mode we wish did not exist.
-
4 RespuestasI'd rather they just bring back the original gambit, this new version has the worst of both worlds
-
Would be an interesting idea along with gambit as is
-
Interesting idea. I'd like to see it explored.

If Bungie removes Gambit, then Crucible needs to go.
