That’s low player participation. That’s less than 60k players per day spread across 4(really three) platforms, and they aren’t all playing 24 hours straight. So understand that the player pool is extremely shallow.
Keep that in mind before you start using that game mode to justify any opinions about the crucible overall.
For instance weapon statistics can be misleading at best. People say that because FL is number one in individual weapon kill % that indicates it’s power. The problem is that handcannons had over a million more kills than shotguns. So if you want to use those numbers to soap box about shotguns being OP and easy to use and FL is busted etc.... well actually handcannons were more deadly.

1 RespuestaBlack desert went free to play and got a new class, cyberpunk, genshin impact, holidays, sunsetting, Bungie can't program, trials is for losers, lag, lag lag lag lag, shitty servers, massive bugs/exploits/hacks, new sandbox sucks, stasis sucks. Those number are low but still exaggerated and inflated. Divide those numbers in half at least. Game is dead. Bungie can't program.

3 RespuestasAh yes statistical readings where you directly compare a primary weapon archetype with a near unlimited ammo per match compared to a one and done situational special weapon unless modded for in a game mode where peeking and primary play is at a constant and snipers are meta due to the core rules. What are you trying to prove here?
-
1 RespuestaWell that’s not really a valid comparison since that is a single gun vs an entire archetype. That is also a FOMO exotic that I and many others don’t have, which means it lacks potential kills by people not having it. Any random dude playing a few mins can get a hand cannon drop. FL is the only shotgun I’ve repeatedly had consistently kill me from airborne hunters and some were precision kills. It’s sad because it doesn’t have airborne accuracy but plays like it does per my knowledge. Don’t feel bad though because Shotguns as an entire class are off their rocker right now since sniper nerf removed them from playing field. I played iron banner and if I added up methods I died involving special the others wouldn’t sum up to half of what shotguns got. Felwinters just happens to be as broken as when it was a legendary on d1 since it takes most used special and gives it more range. Only thing that was really even used aside from shotgun was fusion rifles and that was pretty rare by comparison from what I experienced. Trials stats just show putting emphasis on loot creation for it should be given less priority than strikes and general crucible got this season with loot (1 gun each and copy pasted armor with a diff shader applied but a different name to make it feel special).

1 RespuestaWow, one gun did less kills total than an entire archetype spread across two weapon slots?

5 RespuestasThis is the same problem game has with raids. Most people don't want to have meaningful relationships online. Vast majority want to turn on game get into a match and play. Open every mode to match making and problem solved.

3 RespuestasEditado por DredLaP: 12/23/2020 7:10:55 AMThat’s horrible. Half what it was when it dropped. And that didn’t have adepts. Unless they give the lower 95% a reason to play, the mode is DOA. It’s tough for me. I’d love to see it succeed. A good comparison of how I feel about it is from the hobbit. The dragon knows they are there for the stone. He really wants to kill the dwarf king. But he is tempted to let him have it so he could watch it destroy him. While I’d love to see trials get what it needs to be healthy and survive. It’s almost more fun to watch the ego boys destroy their precious. Half of those were recovs as well. Numbers are horrible.

3 RespuestasTaking into account special ammo vs primary ammo yeah FL is OP and easy to use.

3 RespuestasPlayer pop is so low my team manage to play the same people 3 consecutive games... I didn’t even know that was possible

1 RespuestaEditado por an Ape with a d2 addiction: 12/23/2020 7:25:09 AMYeh it's bad. Also Beyond Light launch still being relatively close should've boosted the population higher than the regular. Imagine if this was only season of the hunt without BL. Guessing the numbers would be abysmal. Guess the steady decline continues. Less players makes the overall experience sweatier, less accessible, resulting in less players and when the population's low enough the matchmaking + network performance starts taking bigger hits and also leaves the third party services being a disproportionately big slice of the overall base. Sounds familiar.

2 RespuestasEditado por A_mo: 12/25/2020 12:09:23 AMIts just a mode that eats itself alive over time. If they don't start skill factoring over every week the way that it works all but insures implosion.

Yeeeeah. I like PvP in this game but won't do trials. It's not a fun playlist and brings out the worst in people.

13 RespuestasWhy bother with trials. No point in playing a game mode with no hope. I hate myself enough in life already. I don’t need to screw two other players out of flawless and give them a reason to want me to kill myself. There is no possible loot reward to ever make me play the game type. I live with enough already. It’s better for everyone that I stay permanantly out of trials, no exceptions.
