Youtubers - so called content creators

Having watched a couple of videos from the self-appointed speakers for the community. I never felt less understood and more disconnected to these guys than now. Don't misunderstand me - I like explanation/grind/cheese videos helping me out and doing something better than I do on my own. But listening and hearing this DLC has run out of content, nothing to chase for, everything done... Which planet are these people - no-lifers or say better professional players - living on? I am not even done with all quests/stasis build of my main Titan. I rule out that I will run a 2nd and 3rd time through the same grind just to get the same fragments/aspects for Warlock and Hunter. Just way too much work. I am struggling with soloing all these legendary sectors. 1250 challenging, 1280 so far out of reach. Deep Stone Crypt not a single attempt so far and still running behind upgrading both Variks and Crow. I know I will be occupied for weeks to come, most likely for the rest of this season. And still having fun. Yes. I can hear it already. So called hardcore veterans now chiming in, git gud, and "I finished everything within the first 24 hours"-bragging but there are people out there working for a living, enjoying some entertainment play which this - imho very good - expansion (not talking about sunsetting) will satisfy for a long time. Youtubers, please don't claim to talk for me. You appear to just be arrogant and detached kids. I understand these people never having worked hard for a living and capitalizing on other people donating them money that they depend on new "content" otherwise they had to start working themselves - but that's not me. And potentially that's not many of us. Have a nice Sunday!

  • You have no clue if they have worked hard or not. I can think of one streamer who was top of the directory. Then he got cancelled by liars, but he’s been back and pulling better numbers than he was before. He put in lots of hard work to fix his situation and rebuild his business. If you think you just start up twitch or YouTube and suddenly you have 10s of thousands of followers you are mistaken. It takes time and work to build viewership to the point of actually being a sustainable business. I’ve got a cushy federal gov job, and I’m sure you’d say I didn’t have to work a hard day in my life. But my 15 years of service to my country, 6 combat deployments, and years away from my family was the hard work I put in to get where I am today. Don’t just judge people because YOU think they don’t work hard. Imo you might be a little jealous that they get to play video games for a living and you’re stuck pumping my shit out of my septic tank.
