Go check out the latest video by a hunter streamer. You will see the dude dodge, freeze and taunt frozen players. But that is not OP, apparently.

Well he’s using two abilities to do that and an exotic. You could achieve the same result on any class. I’m ashamed to say that know this from first hand experience. I’ve had Titan (he was using Armamentarium) freeze me with a Glacial grenade, emote, let me breakout, freeze me again with another Glacial grenade, tbag in front of me and then kill me. Hell just yesterday, I went against a Warlock (who was using Claws of Ahamkara) who froze me with their melee, did a quick emote instead of immediately killing me, and froze me again the moment I thawed out, and then killed me. Just saying that all class are capable of doing this. Are all of these annoying/embarrassing to deal with? Yes, I was fuming. However they’re all using several abilities to do this sort of thing.

Either a stasis nerf across board is needed. Or CC Cleanse. Make it so support esc abilities on light can cleanse an ally or as we saw in the story with frozen Variks. Let us free our teammates by shooting/damaging the ice encasing them.

That’s actually a great idea. I heard you can shoot your frozen teammates to help them but I haven’t really seen it work.

It doesn't. it seemed like a concept they started with the first Beyond Light mission with Frozen Variks, but later abandoned/scrapped it. Though CC Cleanse is common in games like Destiny and would allow for more diverse and unique playstyles, it would be harder to implement. Meanwhile allies breaking frozen teammate out would be easy to introduce as its already a concept in game.

Yes, he has to use 2 abilities to get them to freeze unless he challenges when they player is already effected by stasis, and needs to use an exotic to achieve to dodge's. Warlocks had an instant 5 second freeze for the melee ability with a 26m range. It was too powerful.

I agree that the range needed to be decreased as well as the freeze timer. Bungie was a bit excessive, IMO, with those nerfs. More than one hunter/titan dodged/jumped out of the way of my projectiles week one. The melee doesn't track. So it was not an auto hit. This, not an auto kill. I concede that the range was too great, but disagree with the 10 meter nerf as ranged melee is the unique thing about Warlocks. Hunters and Titans melee us into the ground, usually. I also disagree with the implication that the hunter had a greater difficulty toggling two buttons with the same results and not recognizing it is an OP ability. This game is not rocket science. As for wearing an exotic, Warlocks also have an exotic armor piece that enhanced the melee ability, just like hunters do for dodging. If your dodge slows folks, you would be foolish not to use it for advantage vs your opponents, correct? Lastly, now that there is more than one week of gameplay, folks have had the chance to strat against stasis I don't expect it to be such a "system shock" to the "normal" crucible behavior. Warlocks are not asking for all the week one abilities to be returned, just for the nerf hammer to be reduced so they can compete. Cheers.

Dodge freeze. The aspect only slows down people, not freeze them in place. Unless he has dodged twice.

I don't need to. I've played the hunter since the D1 beta and know all its strengths and weaknesses. I've been using stasis since I got it. The dodge does NOT freeze enemies unless they have been effected by stasis already. On its own it just slows stuff. That's it

Yes it slows. He dodges, slows throw knife, freezes enemy, taunts, dodges slows throws knife, freezes, taunts...lotta skill there pressing all those buttons. Regardless of how long you played a toon, it is OP. But that is okay all I am saying is you have got no room to talk about op stuff with this ability existing in game. However, just as I am entitled to my opinion, you are entitled to yours.

I'm sorry but if you get frozen in the first place, that's on you. It slows you, you can still get out of that situation. You get frozen? That's on you. You have to be quite close to do this aka in range of a shotgun. So if you are competent enough... You would easily deal with him. I'm not saying it's not op. I'm just saying it's not as big of a issue as people make it out to be.
