This! I was supposed to download the hotfix but it kept on coming out as the size of the whole game (50GB), but when I restarted it just downloaded the normal 150mb hotfix size.
Was able to play for an hour or two but after that, it won't let me get past the login screen with a "Cannot connect to Bungie servers... etc." message.
Was able to circumvent by connecting to a mobile data hotspot from my phone but only till the character selection screen, not to orbit. Might suspect that it's an ISP problem.

I’m still unable to connect. I’m changing my internet provider but that takes some days. Still, I have more than two hundred games in my library, AND THE ONLY ONE THAT DOES NOT CONNECT IS DESTINY. I hope changing my internet services entirely will work, but I have never had this problem before, and it looks like there is absolutely nothing being done by Bungie. If you find a solution, please share.
