  • I’ve used too tree before just don’t really care for it I find that it only revolves around the dash and melee but that’s it nothing else to that class warlocks has like there class ability can’t help at not too mention no passives to help you in the air just things to make you stay in the air which is a death sentence

  • It’s still really good for pve though,incredibly good for ad clear and boss debuff

  • Not if your a solo Warlock. The nerf to the melee has rendered it dangerously unreliable to the point of uselessness, and leaves you vulnerable to being overrun by fast moving adds. They broke it. Period.

    I play all of them and have basically since the beginning of the franchise Hunters get preferential treatment from the devs. The are the best tuned and easiest to play class. Titans are well tuned. Warlocks are underpowered. They were the orienteering DPS class in Y1 D1 and they been hounded by nerfs ever since Trials was added to the game. They were designed to be glass cannons of a sort. Slow, fragile but with powerful abilities and fast recovery to make up for the fragility. But now they’re just [i]glass.[/i] The only end game viable subclass is Dawnblade. All the other subclasses either suffer from weak abilities. Weak supers. Or both. Some to the point that no one even uses them in pve anymore (cough...Nova Warp...cough). Shadebinder finally gave us back a subclass that felt powerful and fun to play in pve...and in typical Bungie fashion once the shooter bros in pvp started complaining about dying to abilities (in a space magic game, the horror....) it got broken. The ranged melee attack had its range cut in HALF. It’s speed cut by 20%...and there is no damage drop off. If you throw it at an enemy 17 meters away it simply does NO DAMAGE...and you waste the attack. If it’s at a fast moving mass of adds chargin you? Instead of freezing them all, you’re now left scrambling for a weapon that can handle five fast moving enemies that are already almost in shotgun range, and will be in their own melee range by the time you draw your weapon. Plus Bungie has increase mob lethality such that the dregs with spears and the vandals with sword can kill you in 1-2 shots...and the run I’m PACKS of 2-5 when they come at you. They. Broke. It.

  • Huh I never thought of Warlocks as glass canons in past games. Idk if I would agree with that up until they added stormcaller. That subclass had some really strong neutral game for its time

  • Bungie own marketing referred to Voidwalkers as glass cannons. People played Sunsingers in raids both because of self-res, but because they were more durable than the other two subclasses.

  • I guess thinking back to it I never saw many voidwalkers so I more than likely never saw people use it to a great degree of synergy. That and solar melee overshields and the Ram providing just enough armor for Thorn made me think that they were secretly the tankiest classes

  • Sunsingers were. Which is why there were always getting nerfed because of Trials.

  • I’ll have to disagree with you because you’re simply overlooking the advantages of warlocks,they have a damage/healing rift,well of radiance can do even more by giving overshields/healing to you and all allies,nova warp can destroy majors easily and clear rooms with great mobility,vortex nova can keep you alive though everything,they also get blink,big nova bomb nukes bosses while simultaneously destroying ads,storm caller is incredibly good for ad clear and chaos reach does a f*ckton of damage,warlocks are incredibly good for pve,also warlocks have exotics that are really useful for their abilities???
