The Freezing in PVP is too strong.
After trying to just get my powerful/pinnacle gear for a couple weeks now. I can honestly say that the freeze mechanic is just unfun to play against. It might be because I am terrible at PVP in general but it makes me feel helpless, particularly against those who are particularly skilled and make it work even around corners. I feel like grenades and melee shouldn't freeze someone in place. Supers are certainly fair game for freezing someone solid. I think it would be more fair if Melee/Grenades slowed someone considerably and stopped ability generation. But the inability to respond at all until you have broken out of ice is obnoxious and frustrating to deal with. It feels unfair.

4 RespuestasThe only thing more op than stasis in crucible is the lag. Holy shit man this lag just got 2 times worse than it has ever been. Not a single match I've done over the last two weeks hasn't had at least 3 invincible lag warriors on the other team.

5 RespuestasI gotta hand it to people that say. 'Just Adapt'. This is not really useful. As a very mediocre player I have been attempting to adapt. But stasis creates a massive skill gap between those who can manage to avoid getting frozen and those that can't. I have physical disabilities with my hands that slow my reaction speeds and ability to aim. I already play cautiously and try to pick my firefights. My only option is to outposition/outplay someone because I lose gunfights. Taking away my option of moving and rooting me to one spot without the ability to react is a death sentence to a player like me. I wouldn't even play crucible if powerful/pinnacle/exotic gear wasn't locked behind it. So forcing me to play to acquire said gear and then introducing a mechanic that is both frustrating and humiliating is just rubbing salt into the wound.

2 Respuestas100% Agree. Its also no fun to play with! The ‘Freeze grenade’, severely compromises battle field visibility, as well as blocking ‘lanes of fire’ off from fellow fire-team members. Ive even seen players using that effect (and titan barricade) to shut other players ‘lanes of fire’ down ON PURPOSE!!! That crap needs to stop!

I like crucible a lot, I'm not a trials god like many of these people but that doesn't stop me from having a good time. Always assume someone has a stasis ability at the ready! Stasis in a lot of ways requires to think and plan your actions as you enter engagements and more importantly to be aware of your movement! Don't get caught out in the open if you can help it, be aware of the cover you can use to your advantage. It's also important to be aware of what kind of load out your running and play to those effective ranges, I most often find if I am being frozen then I am playing to close or I overextended and made a bad play. Another great option is playing in proximity to other players, look for team shots or having players to support/cover for you in case you do get frozen. Ascendent Nomad has a great youtube channel that covers a lot of the most important basics of succeeding in the crucible and I think now more than ever those lessons are hugely important. The two second rule and movement have been hugely helpful for developing in this new crucible. You'll still get frozen and rather than getting uspset/frustrated just let it be a great opportunity for improvement and to learn how to outplay stasis. If you really think about it Stasis is truly the antithesis of what we've become used to, Destiny has so much advanced movement options at this point that of course there had to be something to challenge it. I think its great and to me it represents a new challenge/change to a core playlist that has had very little development over the last few years. Honestly even outside of stasis each subclass offers something totally busted: spectral blades, bottom striker titan, top dawn blade warlock are all still very powerful in crucible. Vigilance Wing, Gnawing Hunger, Ace of Spades, Travelers Chosen, and other guns are extremely powerful and can help you be effective as well! Play what is going to be most fun to you!

Honestly, freezing in PvP should be a thing at all. Sure am happy I didn’t buy this dlc. I’d feel scammed

Bump. The freeze mechanic totally shuts down aggressive play in crucible because any time you try to push some one they just use one of their abilities to stop you dead in your tracks. None of the other subclasses have abilities so instantly lethal besides shoulder charge, which can be predicted. Being frozen is almost certain death, and no fun to play around

I wish they would nerf the stasis on warlocks and hunters to the ground and make them as useless as the Titan stasis. Or just eliminate stasis from PvP period.

4 RespuestasPvP was already ruined when the got rid of SbMM - those experiencing the frustration of freezing are now starting to understand what a lot of crucible casuals already figured out last season - that crucible is completely broken and Bungie doesn’t care... Play crucible at your own risk..

also just give in to the dark side.... put on a double melee exotic armor piece, max out your melee to 100 and freeze the crap out of all your opponents use ice walls to block everything and regenerate health etc.... USE their tactics against them.....

stop SHOTGUN APING and stand off at distance. You can pretty much dodge anything but a long range super.

They just did a major nerf in pvp for this hotfix. Should level it out.

I noticed today as well during my titan super I was slowed by either a grenade or hunter melee and it stopped me from being able to use my super melee attack

Freeze shouldn’t affected guardians. Heavy slow would be far more balanced as it still allows some sort of defence without offering up an entirely free kill.
