It's just day three and you're complaining? We have a whole new path paved in front of us for a new guns to come in season to season. You think this is a little premature to be complaining right now?

actually no we lost hundreds of guns and armor and now we get less then 30 new weapons and 2 sets of armor

And most of those guns were crap. Everyone picks about 10 or so weapons that are all side grades compared to one another (meaning they do about the same in performance) and decides not to expand their arsenal. I kept copies of guns in my vault and used basically none of them because the guns that I like are on my character. The majority of the player base move on to newer guns and you have a vocal minority who think that they're loud enough to tell bungie not to sunset weapons. It has happened and now that they've paved the way to new guns coming in season to season, you will see that your arsenal will grow again.

Yes, a vocal minority. out of a million players you're probably going to see about less than 1% of people complaining and upvoting a sunsetting topic. I will concede that there may be even more that do not like sunsetting but a lot of them do not care enough to express this as a problem. Here’s the thing, if you wanted to use new stuff, there wasn’t anything stopping you. Sunsetting isn’t what enables you to use new things. You would’ve always had that choice. Sunsetting however does take away people’s ability to use old things. It removes that choice. Sunsetting being reverted doesn’t affect you at all. You’ll still be able to use new things. All it does is give people more choices. More choices is always better, and it doesn’t at all affect people who want to use new things. Sunsetting being reverted is a win for everyone.

If that the best argumentation you have then you're not entering the realm of solutions here. All you're doing is proving their point as to why they should've done this in the first place. All most players complain about is using older weapons. They want to sandbag older weapons into the newer content. You aren't given choice if your god roll side-grades are keeping your attention. You'll just use what you already have. You actually gimp your own experience by not toying with the new weapons. It doesn't matter if that's your choice to make. Bungie won't let players do it. And they explained why. This sort of argumentation is short-sighted, self serving, and anecdotal. Sunsetting is here man. People have to accept it.

Of course I'm gonna use what I already have it's good. If I find something better I'll use that, but rng is terrible so your chances of finding something better are slim. Slimmer now that sunsetting is a thing. You won't find something you actually like till half way through its life cycle or worse a month out from retirement. If sunsetting was so good why'd they stop doing it in D1 and why did it take over three years to return in D2?

they stopped sunsetting in D1 because after rise of iron they already had plans for d2. They kind of just dropped it and it looked like they forgot about sunsetting. mind you they were going to do the same thing for D2 and move on to D3 so it wouldn't have looked like a huge deal. I don't want to fall into this rabbit hole about subjective arguments about what's better than what period you're going to find what you like hopefully in the future. I personally have found weapons with cooler perks than just damage and reload. I'm enjoying it and I'm going to make the best of my time.

I don't even use outlaw kc/rampage. At the end of the day. They stopped using the sunsetting system. You can say it was for whatever reason you want, but I was there for that shit people hated it. Luke Smith himself said. "Nobody likes feeling like their time has been wasted." I'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it. And go figure he was -blam!-ing right.

Why do people have selective memory? They said that they would reissue weapons with [i][b] new perks[/b][/i]. All the same that does not dismiss the reasoning for sunsetting.

How can you justify creating a system where you grind for guns, level them up, masterwork them with in game currency. Then they sunset those guns in favor of the same guns aith new light caps and "different perks" Why not just include new perks in the loot pool and let people decide which version of the same gun they like better? They are still selling forsaken and shadowkeep on steam! Content theyve effectively removed from the game already. My memory isnt selective. Your argument is garbage. Im not some 12 year old who plays for free. I paid good money for content, hundreds when you factor in that i bought content for not just myself but another player on multiple systems. I bought forsaken and shadowkeep late, so those were just wasted money for me now because everything i bought in those expansions are useless. Have you looked through collections? Count how many auto rifles you can get today that arent sunsetted? Now take those auto rifles and remove raid only guns? You know what your choices are as a new casual player? Gnawing hunger and the new gun. Thats right. 2, casuals get 2 auto rifle choices. 3 if you include uriels gift...but why would you.

Sunsetting is here and we have to deal with it. It's not a matter of justifying it. It's a matter of accepting it and moving on.

You asked a question, got an answer you didn't like and you had a temper tantrum. you're the one with the double talk here saying that you're going to move on and play other games now yet you would still backtrack and come back to the forums to talk about a game you don't even engage in anymore. It's a matter of moving on. all you're doing is giving bungie more data on players who've had an account that's still engaging the game period if more than half of you actually left and never played this game again they would see drop out. yet here you are giving them traffic on their forums and telling their investors that people don't even need to buy this game to be interested in this game.
