The full horror of sunsetting is . . . setting in
One of the great things about Destiny as an on-again-off-again player was to be able to return at any time and have a vault full of awesome weapons and armor that I was free to use in any activity, a collection that required years of play to acquire. Now it's all sitting there with black icons. Useless. Can't even play the new story campaign beyond the first couple of missions with them.
So I guess the 23 new weapons that I don't have are supposed to fill this gap? I thought the gear from at least season of arrivals would carry us into the next dlc but it looks like it will be useless as well by season 14. All the raid gear and everything. Useless.
I understand that Bungie wants their players to move on to new tactics but this is not the way to do it. They should be adding enticing, fun, powerful new options that make people want to play in a new way, not just cancel years of progress and work and dedication to the grind. This will drive more people away from this game than any of the other terrible decisions they've made over the years . . . People are already sick of the endless grind for the same old content. Sunsetting just amplified that ten fold.
On top of all that my characters look like ugly, angry doppelgangers of their former sexy selves. Good lord . . .

4 RespuestasI honestly don't understand why they would phase out pinnacle weapons, but then offer them up at the Lost Light vendor post? That's a cool thing to have access to, I'd love to try out the Broadsword, but oh wait, it is useless in almost everything... Pinnacles should be exempt from sunsetting, we spent too much time in the game to get them...and designed loadouts and armour builds around them, which is part of all the fun. I was looking forward to seeing what I could do with my weapons in conjunction with new mods and stasis. But no, my loved LQ and Breakneck are obsolete now. What happened to helping provide a legacy for our guardians? We've come so far, done so much. I'm just using blues now and random reissued legendaries which don't give any joy.

It’s a absolute disgrace what they have done to destiny , taking all the fun out of playing each day . Maybe they need to stop listening to those loser streamers and made more things to put into the game .

HVT's are 1250 in patrol areas and are immune to damage until you get close to 1200. The rest of us knew better. [u]EDIT[/u]: even the nightmare hunts on the moon are 1180 for ADEPT Easy mode Nighfall is 1180 Strikes are 1100.

5 RespuestasI think sunsetting was a mistake but the dlc is getting a bad rep for something that was seperate from it. if they hadn't sunset stuff I guarantee most people would be saying positive things about the dlc rather than "tHey rEmOvEd cOntEnt I pAid fOr". I understand where they're coming from, but don't take it out on the dlc.

3 RespuestasAny game WITHOUT an offline mode should be a red flag I just didn't like Destiny because it has F2P Which is how I was suckered in. A friend of 15+ yrs gifted it to me. Even tried to have it returned. Within a month after paying about 140 buck for the two of us we got into a fight OVER how this event was to be played. They quit playing and never played again. I have two forsaken accounts. Another person gave me their 35 dollar account. said the grind took up too much of their time. Sunsetting is just stupid. Renting an app. with no offline mode is stupid The idiot that gifted me this disappointment is stupid Gifted forsaken & I see nothing forsaken anymore. all downhill from day one. Forced from blizzard to steam (the biggest mistake) Force by steam to pay 5 bucks to have a friend and changed the name to shadowkeep & added a moon I can't do anything on made masterworking so expensive turned into a job instead of fun. Stopped masterworking armor (some 330 EC's for one piece of armor) Stopped doing spider bounties and even going to the dreaming city. NOW beyond late sunsetting & taking away almost every weapon I liked Took 4 planets 2 of which I did go to a lot and liked. and added a snowball and a crappy EDZ. I admit I've complained about something in every game I've played but at this point Destiny is a bad app and far from a game you can't win in some events. rated #2 looter shooter behind badlands people don't know what a good game is any more it's all about the eververse money today.

9 RespuestasIt’s not just the sun setting that’s breaking minds It’s the absolute lack of new [b]anything[/b] No new Gambit arenas, no new Crucible maps (not D1 Reskins) Pit & Shattered Throne could have had a power bump & powerful/pinnacle rewards Same with the Nightmare Hunts (seems Bungie have abandoned ShadowKeep after only 1 year!) And only 1 bloomin new strike! (Even removing Festering Core) I’ve been running these strikes for 3 years ...now, I’m just not gonna bother!

18 RespuestasIt’s fine for me sun setting is GOOD. I don’t feel FORCED to use mountaintop in every PvE encounter. I can actually experiment with new guns without feeling like I am handicapping myself.

22 RespuestasY’all are still mad about this? I mean I understand where your coming from, losing mountaintop and those suck. But an argument about “just make better guns” doesn’t work. Because you will have to keep one upping yourself until you get a mess of a weapon that just instantly kills everything in a 60 meter range. Heard of the phrase “out with the old, in with the new”? Applies to this game as well, you can’t always use the same stuff and just say make better weapons. Instead of being pissed that your grind was made worthless, be happy that you conquered a challenge to get an amazing weapon, and now look for that next challenge, look for that next god roll. As for the lack of gear, we’ve had a 2 content drops so far and your comparing it to over a years worth of gear. Wait until the timeframes are equal until you make a fair judgement.
