In Hindsight Activision was FAR from the Problem

Read the title, the decisions were not always smarter (because they were probably done by Bungie), but at least the huge budget and amount of content was worth paying for. Your decisions and your way to express the changes to the community really really emphasizes the fact you assume we are ALL complete idiots: "Hey guys, we made improvements to the Bright Dust system" = We nerf the shit out of it. "Hey guys, we are making sure the game doesn't get boring" = We have no inspiration to create anything new so we will remove your current stuff and bring it back later because you suckers seem to already love rebuying all of Destiny 1 "PvP will get a renewed focus" = We reintroduce Trials with nothing better than before, worse loot, worse bounty system, and we remove half of your maps while not introducing any new one... Oh and here's your old Destiny 1 content. We also live in a world where P2P is the best we could come up with even if every single competitive game out there has dedicated servers and a real anti-cheat, but don't worry because we bring back Adept Weapons without fixing anything else. You can do what you do and explain you have budget restrictions you didn't have before or something close to the truth, don't bundle up a fresh turd into a colored box and pretend it's not shit. For the love of everything, I know some of you are probably awesome developers, but you need to change your marketing and business team as a whole because you break every single common sense concept there is and you STILL have that many people playing. Imagine if you actually made good decision with that phenomenal sandbox that was given to you by Activision....

  • Activision killed the game, Bungie compounded on it. It all started way back when Joe Staten's story was cut, replacing it with one of the worst stories ever. "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain" is one of the worst lines ever. We lost the genius of Marty O' Donell replacing what would have been his works of art, with boring generic music. Destiny 2 released as money grab for Activision and it flopped. (At least it had a story) When Bungie split from Activision I think they started making the right steps. It seems that they're starting to go towards an actual mmo. Unfortunately it seems like they keep punishing the player. Power grinds and bright dust economy to name a few. I think that season of Arrivals has been a great season, it has just suffered from the delay. Also, we like to over use the word dead. Fable is a dead game. Destiny seems to be improving and they just announced 3 more expansions all which I'm excited for.
