I believe players are hacking on console
I dont know how but they are. There are too many times where I am going towards a location and players chase me from one location to the exact location I am at. I could take a detour to try to confuse them and somehow they would manage to find me after crossing at least 2-3 of my teammates.
There has also been times where a player would pre-fire with a scout rifle or pulse rifle before I even hit the corner of the lane.
It is awfully suspect and I hope that because you are looking into PC more because of the cheating that you dont forget about the console cheaters as well. There are definitely devices out there that allow it to happen because we are living in technological oriented world now.

2 RespuestasI think cheating on console has been increasing. I quit playing PVP for now, but there are youtube videos that explain how corners angles work. It's possible to shoot someone before they can see you depending on how far they are from the corner and which side you are on. I also think that matchmaking takes advantage of players with solid internet connections. I often find myself playing against people with poor connections and they are not where I see them. Sometimes it's so bad I can't even damage them. Bungie's CBMM is really random matchmaking.

There's a radar that gives you live updates to exactly where you are it's not difficult to know exactly where someone is going to be based on that

2 RespuestasCheating can be done on console. - XIM and other similar devices exist, can't remember what the new thing making the rounds was called, tho. - Jitter Mods for controllers have existed since like 2009, albeit games are getting better at shutting it down.

1 RespuestaThere is cheating on console but most of the problems that exist are due to crappy connections and Peer to Peer. I’ve seen some real hacking before and it is messed up.

3 RespuestasWhile this is probably a case of someone griefing you (even the corner tapping could be because you were marked by something), there is no doubt cheating exists & occurs on console. While the game isn't being used on console to commit felony interstate/international crimes (ddos) like is currently rampant on PC, they are more than able to alter gameplay like applying negative aim assist, pushback barriers on their characters, and have OHK primary scouts and hand cannons.

3 RespuestasI believe it's just Probability and Foresight. People say the same thing about me sometimes, the longer you play the more it becomes Second hand knowledge. Memory plays alot into it. Recognizing Patterns, Habits, play styles, Exotic Armour usages. Exotic Armour tells alot on how a person plays, if you run a Legendary gear, you become a "Jack of All Trades", your harder to read, and predict. Weapons say alot too. Are you a Shot Gun Ape, or a Last Word/Sniper,ect. BTW, using your map is also good, as it won't tell the Person's exact location, it just says that there in that area. That's when Probability kicks in. This Tactic is used alot in chess. Think 20 steps ahead. Takes time.
