14 hour downtime Nov 9
I just logged on and saw the notification about the downtime. Still wish we could get information on download stuff.
Maintenance will begin at 7PM PST - 9PM CST - 10PM EST. When can we start the preload, how much of it will be available and when we are done how much more download will we have to do come official reset?

1 RespuestaHow can we pre-load on the evening of the 9th (per TWAB 9/24/2020) when the downtime starts at 7pm PST and runs for 14 hours? I think Bungie messed up their announcement. We will be pre-loading on the 10th right?

4 RespuestasOnce the preload starts in the evening of November 9th, you will re-download the entirety of Destiny 2. This will be a complete download, with no further patches once the system goes live. Access to Destiny 2 is controlled by the Destiny 2 servers, so only when they go live (provided you have fully downloaded Destiny 2) will you be able to log into the game.

Hey there, Bungie has said that the official update will come right around 10 hours before Beyond Light's launch. I would expect it to come not long after the maintenance starts if not right when it starts. After the preload is done, the assumption is that there will be no more downloads barring any need for an additional patch, but Bungie has made no mention of that yet.
