Third Person for Swords with ammo only
Hello everyone,
I just had an idea for the use of swords.
Wouldn't it be nice if you only switch to the third person view if you hold ammo for it?
As long as you don't have ammo for your sword you stay in first person view and you are able to run around with the invisible sword.
Yes, it would mean the end for the, so called, 3 peek but improves the experience for everyone and brings back more variety into the game.

6 RespuestasMy God... are people still complaining about this.... who care.. it's like a streamer starts talking about things and the forum lemmings come running and dive off the cliff for the streamers... really tho its gonna happen regardless.. if you take away the ability with swords... people will emote.. if you take away the ability to emote... people will use walls/rifts to get a few seconds of peak time.. people are gonna do what they feel they have to for the best odds at winning. This has been a thing since before destiny and will continue to be a thing after destiny is gone! I swear people complain and have to find the littlest excuse as to why they are losing... its sad really...

17 RespuestasEmotes. And Bungie can only turn off specific emotes for the entire game. Not disable them for pvp only. Lastly, three peeking entered the game, because special weapons (snipers) are OP compared to primary weapons...and Bungie has refused to fix this fundamental defect for the last 5 years. So snipers are ridiculously dominant....and people three-peek to level the playing field.

Personally I only use it when facing snipers. The radar can detect people 40 meters away and based on the map and viewing loadouts im able to paint a picture of what they are doing. Sniping is easy in this game. They're are 2 ways people snipe through flinch. -2nd shot waiting -Drag Scope Destiny lets you move the sniper scope alot. Not even cod lets you drag scope as quickly as Destiny. With 2 enhanced unflinching mods. Its not to hard. Plus when you snipe you control the engagement. Your ttk is always going to be quicker then your opponents and the entire gunfight is decided by if the sniper hits the shot. This is true in every game no matter the ttk. In d2 its to easy for them to hit that shot.

I have a better idea, swords should be first person only and swords should have infinite ammo. Whenever a sword is equipped, the player will lose their melee ability and the sword will replace the melee slot. You guys think it makes no sense to have no 3rd peeking right? I feel it makes no sense for a freaking melee weapon to require ammo. So unless that ever happens, I would not be ok with only granting 3rd peeking with ammo. Snipers are an issue in this game especially on end game stuff like trials, comp and iron banner. So either nerf the heck out of snipers or give swords infinite ammo.

I cannot turn a corner without meeting the glint of a sniper rifle with high aim assist and bullet magnetism, or being at the mercy of someone crouching with a shotgun like Felwinters lie. Until some significant changes are made, you best believe I will have a sword in my back pocket to counter the current longstanding meta that has plagued this game's pvp for far too long. God forbid I prevent an avoidable undeserved death just from being more aware of my surroundings in the midst of weapons that can delete me before I can even react. You take my sword away and i'll just start emoting to peek. It's no better than the crutches you all have in your loadouts that force me to do it. Side note: Of course a Revoker user wants to stop people from peeking with swords. Put that thing away and maybe I wont have to.

6 Respuestasi dont three peak because its boring and useless but 90% of people who complain about three peaking are complaining because the enemy doesn't walk into their sniper lane while they sit in the back of the map doing -blam!- all. "How dare you sit in the back of the map and peak instead of walking into me, sitting in the back of the map with a sniper!"
