Still grinding away at that axe.
Destiny is a loot game.
All loot games have to retire power on some fashion.
Bungie is expanding the range of power the game has to offer to include our ghosts. And expanding the loot pool to include mods for those ghosts.
They are giving us the power to customize these ghosts .
They are not going to sell that power through Evereverse.
AS A RESULT BUNGIE HAS TO [b]RETIRE[/b] THAt POWER TO AVOID CREATING THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THESE GHOSTS THAT YHEU DID WITH WEAPONS.
So for once Bungie is playing by the rules of loot games and AVOIDING problems by designing systems properly instead of bumbling into them and then trying to figure out how to fix it later.
Loot games are about the chase and always moving forward to the new stuff.
If this is unacceptable to you for The Love if God, do yourself and the rest of us and go play a game that will give you want you want.
Because this game is t going to do it, and no amount of complaining by you will change this.
Bungie retooled their entire company around this, and a few angry voices in social media wont change it.
THIS Bungie isn’t going to cave to the pressure, so you are wasting your time.

I thought that Trials was going to be a train wreck and was not in the best interests of of the franchise even before it dropped. But I made a point of staying silent because so many pvp players wanted it badly, and their community favored its return so I wasn’t going to piss in the punch bowl. Right now I believe that Trials isn’t salvageable—especially on PC——but I don’t talk about it for the same reason. I believe Iron Banner is broken and the freelance playlist will also fail. But since that is already a done deal, there is no point to grinding that axe. That is where Wicked and I are different. I could be FAR more critical of this game but I choosr not to be because it won’t accomplish anything and my not playing those parts of the game speaks for me.

I said myself before Trials came back that it was not going to save to Crucible because Crucible was beyond saving. Trials is completely broken, and it will not be salvageable - they may make it a bit more playable but the damage has been done. IB is a joke, people see it as PvP Endgame Content but it isn’t. Bungie has allowed Crucible to rot, they have stood back and watched it become the toxic pit that it is now, because simply, they do not care about Crucible. Sorry, I am not sure who Wicked is?

This is game is one of several hobbies that I enjoy and that debate is slowly helping this game to reach its potential as changes that I have called for going back years are slowly added to the game. What I do here is no different than my neighbor practicing his golf swing in his front yard yesterday. Or getting into debates about the golf swing like I used to do years ago on golf forums. But go find your punching bag and your ego battle somewhere else. Not interested in the conflict or the “advice”. That’s the nice thing about being middle aged. You have enough life experience to know the difference between legitimate tough advice that genuinely has your best interests at heart, and what is veiled attempt at leveling. Good. Night.

Only in social media do people seem to think they have a right to say whatever want and the rest of the world has to listen to it without comment. Go to a baseball game every week and sit in the stands and complain the entire game abou how much you hate baseball, how boring it is, and that it would be more fun to watch football. I promise you it won’t take four months of this before the people around you in the stands tell you to shut up, and go watch someone play football. That listen to you endlessly complain about something that won’t change is ruining their experience. Do that in a restaurant about the food, and the boundary smack down will happen even faster. That’s if the owners don’t ask you to leave first. At some point if you keep showing up and refusing to act affirmatively on your own behalf, your unhappiness is on you. No one else. I’m not telling anyone to shut up. But at some point a rational person realizes they aren’t being heard and they go do what actually makes them happy. Unless it IS the complaining that is the source of satisfaction??
