NF Double rewards are nice... too nice... I am suspicious. Change my mind.
I got 30 Golfballs and way too many prisms. It is nice but I have this gnawing voice telling be "this is too good to be true, something is -blam!-y". It is Bungie's MO, the upgrade materials we are farming will be devalued somehow come BL. I just know it. This farm is too good, too easy.

I honestly think its bungie's way of getting players that have stopped playing to come back and play for the extra rewards. A way to get the number of players back up. Why else would they do it.

nah last season a glitch in warden of nothing was dropping double rewards, they saw a wealth of players farming it and decided not to patch it, it was quite popular and in the statement saying they were gonna leave it they hinted at possibly doing it again as it was well received, farm it up, id say its a 1 time gig on a strike this chill, they will do it again, probably once a season

I personally think they never actually fixed the double rewards from last time around and they’re just claiming it’s an event because LoS was coming back into rotation. However, I’m overly skeptical and don’t believe anything out of Bungie’s mouth at this point, so.

Dude I was thinking the SAME thing last night...like theyre about to change the entire masterwork system again to the point where these mats are gonna be useless. Just so telling thats where our thoughts go first wiih this dev.

1 RespuestaNah I think it’s just them being generous. And it’s lake of shadows too, literally the quickest strike. The record is like 6 minutes, my friends and I do it in sub 10. Bungie knows what they are doing and it’s good; they recognize that upgrading armour is expensive with this system and that we are going into a new year with a bunch of stuff being sunset so they are throwing us a bone by giving us double loot in the easiest fastest strike. Good on them. IMO they should just randomly do double loot nightfall weeks like this once in a while throughout the seasons.

1 RespuestaYou called it, we'll now have to Masterwork our Ghosts so they can have the same perks they currently have come Beyond Light. I hate whoever is in charge of these decisions, they could have done this same thing but [i]not[/i] cleaned us out of mats and just had it be a free thing. Player investment is clearly valued at somewhere below dirt, but just above actual dog shit.

I'm not really suspicious, instead, I suspect this is a reaction to the complaints that sunsetting will require players to masterwork new sets of gear. This allows players to masterwork all of their gear that will be useful throughout the next year. Additionally, I think it is showing players that the Nightfall grind really isn't all that bad. Even if there weren't double drops, Lake of Shadows is such an easy NF to farm for masterworking materials. It's possible that they are planning on reworking the masterworking system, but I suspect this is more of an olive branch.

I like to learn the lessons of the past when I look at D2 while looking at this goldfish memory of a forum and it’s people talking about grinding loot like it won’t get turned to dust in a few months. People are really lost with themselves and look for grinding loot that they subconsciously know will be outdated the moment they receive it, as an outlet with the hole they have in their own lives, I’ve come to learn this after years interacting in this forum. My realistic approach is seen as too aggressive for those still stuck in the delusional state. D2 has made this recycling system it’s own game, in turn just punishing it’s lost and ignorant fanbase, it’s curated a system designed to punish its most loyal fans. Honestly -blam!- them for that. It’s malicious with money sucking as the obvious primary motive. Toxic standards are the standards now.
