I don't know how there's a debate here. This is a proven fact, intentional game design or not, that flinch rewards the person getting shot- [i]which is ridiculous to begin with.[/i] And because of that, snipers (and Arbalest) don't have a consistent option of counterplay. Now this is something I've talked about before, so let me address some arguments before they're made. When I got shot, my scope goes everywhere! Flinch isn't helping me, this is fake. [spoiler]There are plenty of ways to prove that this is just how flinch works, maybe your issue is that you're not aiming close enough to your opponent's body for it to kick in, maybe you're just not noticing it.[/spoiler] My [i]insert gun with high cal rounds[/i] works just fine against snipers! They're fine. [spoiler]Now obviously I'm not seeing your gameplay or the calibre of your opponents, but if they're not aiming close enough to your character, flinch won't help. There's no gun that will consistently flinch a sniper, and high cal doesn't help.[/spoiler] Just don't challenge sniper lanes! Easy. Snipers are fine. [spoiler]Ignoring the fact that challenging entire lanes when someone has a sniper on being unviable even if you do everything right is absurd, distance doesn't factor into the flinch issue.[/spoiler] Just 3-peek and wait for them to make a mistake! [spoiler]3-peeking is a problem in of itself, and I'd rather avoid having to camp, for obvious reasons. Plus, the dude can just rescope and get flinched onto your head very easily.[/spoiler] Edit: I guess I was wrong about my first sentence in the post, there really doesn't seem to be any debate.
