That’s how many folks lost their lives this day 19 years ago.
I remember.

The sacrifice of my brave fellow Americans will never be forgotten and my prayers go out to all the families impacted by those despicable terrorists.
Sorry, all out of salt.
I remember the day with crystaline clarity. A friend called me and told me to turn on the tv. I was already at work but hadn't started a training session yet (that I canceled), so I popped out and headed a few doors down to where I could see a screen. I called an aunt in Long Island, then a few former co-workers. The ones in North Carolina were already on alert, one in Germany was already mobilized. That's all they could/would say and I understood. For one in upstate New York, it's the last time I'd ever talk to him. The plane-free skies were an eerie phenomenon. Something that had always been omnipresent was suddenly gone, with almost zero notice. That the FAA could accomplish what they did with such rapidity was, is, surprising. Television was completely different for a week or so after. Channels that normally had cartoons, sports or classic movies had subleased their airtime to news providers I'd never heard of to bombarded us with the same images over, and over...and over, with the occasional cut to "Live, on the scene" stuff that did little to an already numbed by shock nation. For me, many of these watershed moments can simultaneously feel ages away and like they just happened yesterday.

Wow. On this post, either you have people who are swimming in upvotes, or you have people who simply don't agree and get downvoted into silence...

Editado por Fate: 9/11/2020 8:01:40 PMSad part is the World Trade Center was attacked multiple times before They had to have known something like this might happen It’s unfortunate the attack succeeded they should have just shot the planes down It would have reduced the casualties I was 5 and watched it go down on live tv

I was born in the immediate aftermath of that day, 19 years ago. I didn’t experience it myself, but I certainly grew up in its effects.
