Those same people won't give a shit because of [BS reason here]

I don't give a shit because I don't really care that much about most legendaries. I have a ton more fun with my exotics like Graviton Lance and Sweet Business than I do with ANY of my legendaries. The only legendaries I like are Gnawing Hunger and Falling Guillotine, and those are just kind of universally accepted as good weapons these days. It's not necessarily about "we love sunsetting!" as it is "we're not really effected by it in any negative way." cause we don't give a shit what weapons we use as long as we have fun.
-
Cool, if you simply don't care and ultimately are unaffected, then you should have no problems with others doing what they want/not wanting this.
-
I don't care about sunsetting. It won't bother me, and has no bearing on my enjoyment of the game. It does however have an impact on my interactions with the community, because every single time I load into the forums, I see at least three people on the front page -blam!- about sunsetting for no reason other than "MUH HARD WURK" or "BUT THEN I CANT USE X WEAPON THAT I HAVEN'T PUT DOWN SINCE GETTING, THREE YEARS AGO". It's a game. A game that changes all the time. A game that is constantly shifting its methods and mechanics and content. If you didn't want to lose countless hours of working on getting weapons, you shouldn't have spent so much effort to get them in the first place. Should have just relaxed and played the game casually. Maybe if more people did, then there wouldn't be as many complaints about sunsetting, and maybe then I could see some actual problems on this forum instead of only ever seeing the same exact complaint from stubborn children that can't stand change, two hundred times a day.
It does however have an impact on my interactions with the community,
Seriously...
Should have just relaxed and played the game casually. Maybe if more people did, then there wouldn't be as many complaints about sunsetting, and maybe then I could see some actual problems on this forum instead of only ever seeing the same exact complaint from stubborn children that can't stand change, two hundred times a day.
I sense a lack of perspective on your part, this is a serious problem for people, just not you. Don't fault them for something you don't (care to) understand. Among all the issues with the game, why even put up with them when the very things you've been earning are now seemingly worthless. No amount of fixes to other things will be enticing enough when that final nail is still there. It's not about being unwilling to change, it's about not being FORCED to.
-
If they don't like it, they can leave. It's a video game. It's meant to be fun. If you're not having fun, don't play. Don't try to change the game, just go play a different game you actually have fun with as it is. Inb4 "but they asked us for input!"...... They don't listen. They want to make their game good for everyone and they do try to, but they don't. Listen. And that's all there is to it.
-
Of course people aren't playing, they can still suggest/push for better changes
-
Nope. If you aren't going to play, you have no right to try to change the game. You lose that right soon as you decide to quit and act on it. If you're not playing, and don't intend to play anymore, you have ZERO right to change the game. That'd be like letting britain vote on who our president is alongside us.
-
Editado por TJ_Dot: 8/23/2020 11:18:25 PMThat's not up to you. I don't need to be playing to know bad things are gonna get and advise the opposite, it's not hard when you know Destiny. People want a reason to like the game again, my one friend's actually been lamenting the good times far gone and on track of not coming back. They have the full right to ask for it. And Britain voting on US elections is a terrible comparison.
-
No it's a perfect comparison. Britain has as much right to pick our leader as a non-player has to pick our content
-
Editado por TJ_Dot: 8/24/2020 12:18:44 AMNo they don't. And content? Sunsetting isn't content. DCV isn't content. Nothing being complained about is about what content should be. Not like that.
-
Content is literally just anything in the game. Content includes all of the CONTENTS of the game. People that don't play have no right to influence anything about the game. If they were tired of it enough to quit, they've lost their right to complain. And you're a god damn moron if you really think people with no stock in the game at all should be given the right to influence that game. Foreigners voting on who the U.S President should be next is the perfect analogy because foreigners have no right to pick the next step our country takes just like non-players have no right to pick the next step the game takes, nor do either groups have the right to criticize the steps BEING taken, because they hold no stock in the matter
-
Content is literally just anything in the game. Content includes all of the CONTENTS of the game.
Content in a videogame is often not referenced by the bare minimum definition, so much so that something as insignificant as the colors of Ghost's eye is "content". Cause it isn't playable/usable what have you. Freedom of speech bub. "Active Player" is not required to have an opinion or suggest things. In case you didn't know, you do have to have actually played the game to even post here. So it isn't just random ideas from absolutely nowhere. Stock? Please be a joke. Destiny is not America and Britain is not Not-Destiny. God there's so many more legal manners that are involved with that crap. This a game's public forum, not a damn election.
-
You do realize "have stock in" is an expression right? Not literal stocks.
-
Well with where this conversation headed, you'd have to excuse me for not assuming you were using a figure of speech.
-
Honestly, using it as a figure of speech was the most likely thing there, especially with the context of how it was used.
-
Unless all of this was some silly joke, you don't need to imply that you're being honest now.
-
Again, another figure of speech. Christ dude don't take every single word so literally. You're not a goddamn robot, so don't act like one.
-
Well, I had to take your crazy statements earlier seriously, you can't just dial back now and complain I'm taking your words for what they are.
-
Taking things seriously and taking things literally aren't the same, just like how serious and sincere aren't the same. Taking me seriously would be listening to what I say, understanding what I mean, and responding accordingly. Taking it literally would be ignoring any context and just taking each word as its base definition and not truly understanding it all the way it's meant. You're taking it literally. You shouldn't be. Should be taking it seriously. And the fact you constantly reiterate that you think what I've been saying is crazy just goes to show this entire conversation was pointless. So I'm done with it. You're not even really considering ANY of the points I've made, you're just hellbent on sticking to your opinion. So this is all from me. Later.
