What point is there in playing activities for new weaponry when what I already have is just fine? Thins out players like me from the matchmaking pools because my efforts are pointless.

The rate of return on time to drops is so low for specific rolls, and sunsetting diminishes it further by giving the drop an expiration date. What you’re going to get in the future will just be fine too, but beyond being just fine it will also have an expiration date so it’s not worth grinding for a specific roll when a just fine roll will do.

If your time is already respected, then choosing to respect even more people's time doesn't exactly mean that yours will now just stop being respected, as that would be the opposite of more.

But to respect OP's time, they would have to walk back on Sunsetting because OP wants their Y1 stuff to stay relevant so they don't have to grind anymore. I've been wanting a legit reason to grind for gear and now I have it. I have to have gear capable of higher Power if I want to keep playing.

So then what you're saying is that it's okay to insult my efforts in earning new gear by rendering it pointless since the existing items are just as good and equal? Old Gear = New Gear = Stagnation I don't think I'd spend my time on stagnation. Sounds quite disrespectful to my efforts as a paying customer.

Stagnation is a forever constant with Destiny since gear is just numbers and almost never truly unique. Only thing new as of late are the other sword archetypes, and those were rehashes of exotics. So either way, it's "pointless", so you're getting nowhere.

As for gun transmog, they haven't completely ruled it out yet so.....

I have gear from multiple years to be concerned about. Transmog doesn't fix crap. Nothing about grinding multiple sets over and over again a year is compelling and adds nothing of gameplay value.

So cosmetics don't concern you either? You still leave me with an inability to reconcile why you care at all if gear is all just numbers to you in the end? By your logic, you just play the game, get higher Power gear, slap it on, play the game, get even higher Power gear, slap it on, rinse and repeat. Your logic just supports attaining bigger numbers and nothing else. Which means you have no discernible issue with Sunsetting since gear is nothing but numbers and cosmetics don't seem to matter to you. So why does it matter to you?
