You want to afk for 15 hours? In crucible? Really? Think about that. It’s impossible.
Shards should be a reward for reset. It takes a lot longer to do anyways.

15 hours for a reset? Tell the people afk farming crucible and forges when you could do it. (people afk'd for literally 2 materials before umbrals)

It takes about that long. Depends on how you go about it. I don’t think you can farm Crucible by going AFK. Never seen it happen or heard of it. Plus what’s wrong with Ascendent Shards being given for reset? In one season I can reset at least 3-4 times. That’s only 3-4 Ascendent Shards. Which can only masterwork 4 legendary armor, or 1 legendary armor + 1 Exotic Armor.

Also you can easily do sub 15 minute platinum gm night falls this week for example. Possible 2 shards and an exotic. Shards are meant to come from endgame, that's why they are in trials.
