Hello.
I have returned to play after 3-4 years because i hear good things, i bought the game on Steam again, linked my old account to Steam and as soon as i start the game i get a message “not so fast this account has been banned”
I log into my profile on bungie and my linked steam account says 1 error on it, i click it and it says can’t cross save an account with restrictions, the restriction will be lifted in 180000 days or something...
I don’t even know why it was banned? Can i unlink the old one and just play from scratch or something? no info whatsoever why it was banned and what not to do to get a ban again...like was it my VPN or something? My Antivirus? No clue i just want to play :/
Any help will be appreciated thanks.

Hey there! The #Help forums are not able to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. However, there is a process in place for you to appeal your ban or restriction. Please review the Contact Form: Appeal Ban or Restriction article found here. Please note that, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that your ban or restriction will be overturned. For more information on Bungie's policy regarding bans and restrictions, please review the policy here.

2 RespuestasNope and no. For most PC tagalongs: They are banned because SOMETHING installed on your PC was viewed as a POTENTIAL threat to D2 and those are PROMPTLY BANNED. ACTIVE cheats for D2 AND Cheats for other games can trigger this. (Cheat Engine, Borderlands Commander, etc.) The process for BANS and RESTRICTIONS involve reports coming in from players or their flag system towards an individual. The person at Bungie HQ reviews it. And they decide if it was warranted or not. Intentionally or not your account broke the rules. Ignorance doesn't exempt you from them. Your account is done. Here's some examples of the other 380+ people who "did nothing wrong" that the BNGSecurity account replied to. https://www.bungie.net/en/Profile/BungieActivity/254/21102603/BNGSecurity [EDIT] Recently they have added a form to appeal a BAN or RESTRICTION. (SUSPENSIONS are not included.) https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 But know that the chances of it actually getting reversed are MINISCULE. They have absolutely no obligations to reply to this post or your appeal form. If you submit an appeal and don't get a response in 5 days time then consider the BAN upheld. I suggest you start over or move on. If the BNGSecurity account ever does become active again it'll look something like this.
Your account was banned on DATE when an application designed to read and modify the memory of other applications at runtime was detected targeting the Destiny 2 game client directly. This is, at minimum, a violation of Bungie's policies against runtime analysis. It is the responsibility of each player to understand what software is running on their device and how it interacts with other applications. The data leading to your ban has been reviewed and validated. Your punishment will not be overturned and is not eligible for appeal.
3-4 years could imply you had something running back in the day that could have been picked up by anti cheat.

Editado por Sweet Lew 88: 8/5/2020 7:58:16 PMThe not so fast is a bad sign. Usually given because of cheating So either you were cheating, had a cheat or unapproved program on your PC or played with a cheater and benefitted from the cheats. You are allowed to appeal, but dont expect a response, they dont always give one.
