To the team at bungie who developed the dungeons.....

Well done. You guys know how to make content. Just done the new one and was amazing. I had loads of fun doing it. The mechanics where nice and it was a pleasure to play refer than a chore. I hope this part of bungie gets a good amount of praise because other sections of this game fall short far too often.

  • Yeah the dungeons are the only content worth playing on reset .. the rest is too old .. Now add a group finder IM GAME ( that’s not the same as matchmaking) or let me initiate a guided game once I hit 5 completions .and we are golden .

      I feel like a more time was spent on the dungeon then anything else. They reskined gambit and put it in as a public event and just made a lengthy grind for a weekly story (and added some blight like things around the map) I also believe this is the first season we didn’t get new exotic armor right? I believe we got some last season, ill go check to make sure Yup first season

    • Best content in any destiny game in my opinion. Raids have the ‘wow’ factor and are the pinnacle of PvE and going Flawless in Trials use to have that allure and drive to improve in PvP but I think dungeons perfectly combine the best aspects of spectacle, challenge and accessibility.

    • I really wish they would introduce more of the dungeon style (Raid light) mechanics into other content like strikes. The part of Shattered Throne where you're running from Thrall, the light/dark mote mechanic of Prophecy, and the invincible ogre part of Pit of Heresy all come to mind.

    • Truth. It’s a shame they’re all hive and taken, but the dungeons themselves are top notch game development. Definitely need more of them.

    • The dungeons ARE the best content the Destiny game has delivered recently (IMO). A lot else is “meh” but I always enjoy the dungeons.

    • As much of a raid guy as i am, dungeons have really been the show stopper the last few years. I cannot wait to see the fall dungeon and raid. We know Deep Stone Crypt is the raid (which is awesome on paper) but I'm almost more excited to see what they do with the dungeon. Will it be on Europa and be fallen based? Maybe it launches alongside Cosmodrome and takes place in old Russia with some sort of Siva element? Or perhaps it launches with whatever section of Venus they bring back when Vault of Glass returns and we get a Vex dungeon? My general hope it's that it's either a Fallen, Vex, or Cabal centered dungeon, but honestly with how dope the design has been across the first three, it can be another Taken and I won't even care.

      The aesthetics were great, but I feel like more could've been done to make the dungeon challenging instead of just giving the AI more aggressive aiming and leaning hard on the mote mechanic. The loot is also very weak. We should at least be getting reissued Trials of the Nine weapons, not [i]Hoosegow and Negative Space. [/i] Prophecy is good for the first few runs, but leaves a LOT to be desired.

      • I really enjoy the "Nine" themed content and I [i]want[/i] to like Prophecy more than I do. But... Overall the enemy "aimbot" and ability spam turns some of the "fun" into nuisance. -The first two parts before the Wasteland are pretty good, even if not "great" or particularly exciting/memorable. -The wasteland is a complete waste. Not hard. Not interesting. Just filler. -Cube room is pretty good, except the bosses are completely pointless. -Drive through the wasteland again... ok... -Rainbow road is very cool just for uniqueness. -Boss fight is good, but the hit registration for the teleport attack mechanic is very poor and greatly detracts from the quality/consistency of the encounter. And we all know it will never be fixed. Overall the aesthetic is good. But in some places (wasteland/transition areas/boss DPS room) it really feels like they made design choices to minimize development effort. (I know the "Nine" locations are intentionally simplistic, but still.) Loot is pretty poorly thought out. The loot pool is too big. Several completely undesirable weapons. Bizarrely, Trials of the Nine weapons were not chosen. The Daito set should have been ornaments (as originally intended) instead of having two competing armor sets. Closing thoughts: It's too long and at the same time, boringly easy in a fireteam. The rewards aren't worth the effort after doing it enough times to finish collecting the Daito gear. The loot pool is too big to have a real chance at "farming" a specific item. There is no universally desirable "cherry on top" like the masterworked PoH armor that will keep me doing it week after week.

        • The dungeons have been keeping me busy while the season is drying up, so gotta give that to them. got my flawless solo poh done the other day and was very close to shattered throne today but died to a silly mistake on end boss. they should have better loot though. at least poh gives masterworked armor, but id still prefer something im likely to use.

        • Prophecy is fun for roughly the 1st five clears. The Coda and Moonbeam armour pieces are dropping. After that you start to get a bunch of garbage. Negative Space and Hoosegow start dropping repeatedly. Takes the fun out of the run when you never hardly see Death Adder or the Ikelos V2 shotgun drop and when they finally do drop they have trash rolls.

        • New dungeon is pretty good, but that part where you have to dunk under Toland and stand in the middle of the room over and over is too long and tedious. The dungeon would perfect if that part was shorter.

        • Dungeons are some of the best content this game has to offer. Raids are okay but honestly I don’t enjoy the tedium of Garden or Spire. Crown was always fun to run with LFGs. The first encounter you could talk to everyone, get to know the group. Very little communication needed and it was just...chill yknow? Like...I love the dungeons too. The worlds they’re in are just awesome. Shattered is great, Pit is beautifully gothic and amazing, Prophecy is fantastic.

        • Yeah the dungeons are cool but they need their own themed loot(not including Prophecy).I would definently do Pit of heresy more if it had cool hive themed armour and weapons instead of the moon gear.Whoever thought that destination gear for dungeons was a good idea has absolutely no clue.

          • shattered throne is my fav, simply because I love the platforming and the 2 boss formula, plus it's a decent length activity pit is a really fun short dungeon, I didn't like it too much at first but it's grown on me a lot prophecy is a great experience, fun to play through and the most rewarding the thing dungeons need is SPECIFIC LOOT. shattered throne offers diddley squat for unique gear, pit of Heresy offered the 3 hivey weapons, but they were available from the alter of sorrow and the loot pool is muddied with moon gear. prophecy is the closest we've come, featuring a unique (but unrelated) armor set and guns unobtainable elsewhere (though they're just old guns). if the next dungeon features unique and appropriately themed armor, 3+ weapons and an exotic that can only drop from the boss, I'd be ecstatic

          • Shattered Throne is epic. The other 2 have gotten shorter and shorter. Prophecy is fun but I hated Pit from the first time I went into it.
