Disagree. Affinity should be removed. Its a stupid concept. High-end armor should have specialty mod slots compared to your regular armored drops. So that there’s an incentive to grind for them.

Totally agree with this. I don't even understand the benefit of affinity? Is it elemental damage reduction? Big whoop, make that a mod. Get rid of affinity. Standard Legendary Gear should offer 1 Stat Mod Slot and 2 Perk Mod slots (same as it is now) Raid Gear, same as Legendary, but add a 3rd Perk slot for a thematic mod, like if its a Vex raid, make it an anti-Vex mod of some kind. This way it applies outside the Raid and Inside the Raid. Like making you immune to Radiolarian damage. Exotics should allow 2 stat mods and 2 perk mods. I think that second Stat mod would be a game changer. Just my $0.02

That doesn’t make much sense because it seems like each affinity has the same mods. Even if that were the case, Bungie sure made one over complicated solution for an over burdened UI. I mean, they’re nothing more than icons, I don’t understand what is so graphically demanding about icons.

You said it yourself, you don’t understand the details of what makes it complicated. Arc void and solar affinities have mods unique to them.

When I say I don’t understand, I say that with a programming background. Splitting the mods up into 3 different affinities because the UI can handle it sound like a line of BS from Bungie.
