No, they haven’t, because it’s not an idea, it’s something that’s been around for a loooooong time, implemented in almost every loot based game, and essential for this game to survive.
No, they haven’t, because it’s not an idea, it’s something that’s been around for a loooooong time, implemented in almost every loot based game, and essential for this game to survive.
The first half is true, but the second is 💯 false.

Editado por xbroggiex: 7/24/2020 4:06:08 PMYep in every other loot based game that actually has loot systems in place to make it work. Destiny doesn't though so its more like they are still speeding into a wall at 500 MPH while knowing months ahead of time they are going to crash but they don't slow down and think. Sunsetting will end in Bungie saying they messed up because they don't have an idea on how to make a loot game satisfying with sunsetting.
-
It does work in destiny, actually
-
No... no it won't. haha.
-
It does work in destiny, actually
If it works in Destiny then it already works and no change needs to be implemented.
-
but they aren’t implementing it properly
-
Not essential whatsoever, literally no one was complaining about the current system

They weren't using new gear either. All this stuff to do with no reason to do it, now there is a reason.
They weren't using new gear either.
They absolutely were Let's review the latest 3: Dawn: Breachlight, steelfeather repeater, perfect paradox, travelers judgement, last hope, old fashioned, line in the sand, uriels gift all saw use Worthy: astral horizon, eye of sol, summoner, dire promise, seventh seraph shotty all saw use Arrivals: falling guillotine, forward path, ikelos SMG, whitherhoard, fools remedy and effigy all see use New gear is always used - when it's not total junk
All this stuff to do with no reason to do it, now there is a reason.
Are you suggesting players dont run new content itself to go after the new gear whatever it may be? Qe know that's not true.

Come on. Some players will chase everything so of course weapons saw use. I'd bet Mountaintop, Recluse, Not Forgotten, Luna, and Revoker to this day have more use than anything else in their class. Gnawling hunger has more use than Summoner. Mindbenders and Dustrock still up there even though Felwinters is a thing. Exotics aren't being sunset and Arivals launched sunsetting so those swords are the weapons they were talking about when they said sunsetting would let them release stronger legendaries. The only time people left anything behind completely is if something new outclassed it or it was nerfed into uselessness. You can't keep outclassing weapons that would make power creep a real thing, and this place would meltdown if they nerfed everything from previous years. There are obviously other reasons, more grind and playtime from everyone not just the ones who chase everything and eliminating perk combos that were problematic for the game. Before you could always infuse so there wasn't any reason to use anything new unless you wanted to. It seems like most around here can't let go so they must not have been using different things. Now recycling gear the first season you implemented retirement was stupid, I expected to see recycling but not the first season.

I'm saying weapons that have been around for years still get more use every season than the new weapons.
I'm saying weapons that have been around for years still get more use every season than the new weapons.
Def not true but ok.
-
If it wasn't true people wouldn't care so much. There are still weapons that are years old on top of the meta so wheres the proof that it isn't true?

Every where I search they sure are still up there. Where are you looking?
Every where I search they sure are still up there. Where are you looking?
Go ahead and post your stats and we can look at them.

Dude use Google please. I already have.
Dude use Google please. I already have.
🤣🤣🤣 If you’re going to make a claim provide the data you use to support it. I’ll accept it, but if you’re going to link the usage in PS4 lockdown games it’s not exactly relevant. So show me the numbers you used to make your claim and we can look at the context together.

Editado por jcald--: 7/25/2020 12:16:15 AMI guess I'll go first. Check out Destiny tracker, trials report, best weapons on fanbyte, best loadouts for the final boss of the new dungeon and GoS...... Most of the weapons are not from this year, there are a few. On destiny tracker it takes much longer to look past the top 5 but even there the only new weapon is felwinters, the other 4 are from last year. Your turn please show me where the old guns aren't on top.

Your turn please show me where the old guns aren't on top.
You need to go first. You’re making a claim, it’s up to you to substantiate with your data source so we can see the context. For example: let’s look at destiny trials report. Last weeks #1 weapons for kills by far on PANTHEON was Fellwinter’s. The top three so far this weekend are: 1) Gnawing hunger - new gun. 2) Revoker - old gun 3 (by 1000 kills) Fellwinters lie - new gun. So by your own source the data shows the claim isn’t true. And before you say Gnawing is an old gun please don’t make me laugh. The version players are using comes from easily farmable focusable Umbral Engrams and not from farming the reckoning. Top 10 by usage in comp: https://destinytracker.com/destiny-2/db/insights 5 are from this year, 4 are from the last two seasons, and 3 are exotics that aren’t being sunset.
-
Take out the exotics they aren't being retired. Gnawling hunger isn't a new gun it's been around since reckoning. There are more old legendaries on those list than new ones. Dire promise and felwinters that's basically it for PvP legendaries.

They could have been, the biggest complaint is you can get the same rolls. The Gnawling hungers that were meta last season came from season of the drifter, this season it's a mix but they still aren't new. The majority of the guns are still old. Even the best PvE loadout ms have a lot of old weapons except exotics and falling guillotine. People are freaking out over losing their guns, if we all used new guns there would be zero issues. Most of us use the old stuff much more than the new.
