1st shadowkeep was pushed back by a few weeks, and now beyond light is being pushed back over a month. I think it's time bungie switches back to 3 seasons years, this way they have plenty of time to develop content. I know some people will blame covid but just a month ago they were saying they were on schedule and working from home wasn't affecting dev time. Not too mention that with shadowkeep it was pushed back despite working at the studio and at that point in time they still had the other studios working on the seasonal content meaning they could focus 100% on shadowkeep. (Also they reused a lot of assets from D1 when developing the landscape)
Another thing I'd like to point out, is that every other season typically end up having a lack of content. The drifter season had way less content than the other from Y2. Season of undying as well as season of worthy both had small loot pools with little seasonal content. I think the reason for this, is it's the studios trying to catch up on their dev time so they intentionally sacrificed 1 or 2 season.
