This is aimed directly at DeeJ or dmg04, since your natural response to everything is "we'll take it to the team". Please, by all means, take this to the team.
Why is that every time there is some kind of bug or exploit that directly benefits the playerbase (ie. the recent Nightfall level delta, the Nightfall loot glitch awhile back, etc), you all jump immediately to put a stop to it, but when its something detrimental or puts some kind of hurdle in our path to having fun or making progress (Savathun eyes being broken by orbs not counting for progress, sandbox issues the players have beef with), you take you sweet time to get to it?
Why? Why, Bungie? WHY? Menagerie showered us with loot and we had loads of fun farming it, but you deemed it as "not working as intended" and put the ol' kibosh on it. Running Nightfalls FINALLY felt rewarding enough to bother with it when that loot glitch was active, but you deemed that "not working as intended". WHY? On the flipside of that coin, you have folk genuinely worried that they won't be able to complete this year's Moments of Triumph on time because of the Savathun eyes mess and knowing how long it can take you to properly fix things that need fixing in a timely manner.
Why, Bungie? Why is there a distinct and clear "no fun" policy in place, but things that either impede our progress or make things less fun stay in for extended amounts of time? WHY?
I love this game. I was Day 1 D1 and have been along for the ride ever since. I have stuck around for some dark times. I stayed with the game during the super dry lead up to the Taken Spring. I endured during long bouts of no contact from the devs and even longer content droughts. But this issue, the disparity between you taking action on things that are fun or speed up progress vs things that suck has always been the one thing that has bugged me the absolute most.

OP I feel you went off the path with the point you were trying to make IMO only. Simply put: Bungie why can you fix some bugs very quickly, yet you can't/won't fix others that for example, stop us getting Triumphs complete as quickly. There seems to be a lot of these that do not come under some kind of hot fix.

So basically what I got from this is that you’re a masochist? Goodness

4 RespuestasStopped reading at "sufferer". No one is forcing you to "suffer" D2. If you really feel that way, it's time to move on and play something else.

15 Respuestasa couple things, first some things are just easier to fix than others. especially with a 10+ year old engine. second, there are several bugs still present that help players, like the Riven cheese. so to say
Why is that every time there is some kind of bug or exploit that directly benefits the playerbase
is just false.

6 RespuestasIt is interesting that the perception is that Bungie instantly fixes anything that makes the game fun because they quickly changed the Nightfall last week. This couldn't be further from the truth. Two bugs come to mine when I think about the Nightfall Bug last week. First in Forsaken when you could farm Masterwork Cores and from the fully masterworked Trust. Then a couple seasons later, you could get infinite Pinnacle weapons for another Masterwork Core farm. Both of these were fixed instantly because it threatened to imbalance the material economy within the game. Same goes for Master Nightfalls, if you make them just as simple to complete as other lower level Nightfalls, you imbalance the economy of Ascendant Shards, not to mention people were essentially able to "cheese" the Master Nightfall Triumph if they had not done it already. This is why it was fixed quickly. It is also interesting that in order for players to have fun, they need adds to be lowered to 750 light. Maybe Master Nightfalls are not for you. The double drops from Warden of Nothing were not fixed immediately, we were able to farm the Nightfall for a week, it was then fixed by the time it came back 6 weeks later. Menagerie was fixed, but after nearly a month of letting people exploit the additional drops, and Bungie openly acknowledged that they would let us use the exploit. It is delusional to think Bungie is instantly patching bugs because they don't want the game to be fun. When it comes to bugs related to Seasonal content, I would say they have done a relatively good job of addressing bugs as they come up. Heavy Hitters and the Prismatic Recaster Triumphs were fixed within weeks, and I suspect the Savathun Eyes Triumph will also be fixed relatively quickly. Sure, there are minor things that don't get fixed for very long periods of time such as the Bank This Gambit Triumph. If you don't know what that triumph is, it's probably because you didn't care about it anyway since it does not affect the core game; which goes to show they are focusing on the right things. Bungie is prioritizing changes based on what is relevant at the time.

2 RespuestasMaybe because being able to replay a broken activity to farm isn't how the game is designed to be played? Why is everyone crying over this NF business still? Also, you're wrong, have they fixed the Riven cheese yet? That benefits the player...
-
5 RespuestasMy opinion is because the game is based on an intricate economy and leveling system, anything that breaks that system (like doing a 1080 Nightfall with 750 enemies) means the player got something they don't deserve. Be it reward drops, a triumph, emblem, etc. Plus, changing the NF was a server side fix that could be done relatively easy. If you have for example a Means to an End quest that works for a lot of people but not everyone, that takes some digging through the code. It takes in house replication of the issue, play testing, etc. Bungie doesn't always fix issues that benefit the player that quickly either. Like when Prometheus Lens was broken in Crucible. They just had Xur sell it to anyone who owned CoO, and for that who weekend, Crucible was laser tag. The Fallen Guillotine was broken for what, 3 weeks? Forge farming has been broken a few times for more than a week. So, you have to take all that into account.

Before you start giving this guy shìt over his post, hear me out. By far, by far, BY FAR, the only good thing in my opinion is the gun play. Shooting things with guns is fun, that's it. I know bungie is in a tough situation but I see them collapsing soon.

Sorry u did not get free ascendant shards last week. 1080 nightfalls are really not that tough to begin with. Just needs communication. If u did get shards, u would not complain in the slightest.

12 RespuestasPriority list is as follows: - Eververse - Eververse - Eververse - Virtue signaling - Nerf - Sunsetting - Content vaulting - Drip feed content into DLC and season pass - Streamers - Increase grinds - Reduce loot - Fix farm glitch - Randomly flip CBMM and SBMM ... ... .. . - Ignore feedback - Do something about cheaters I think this answers your rhetoric question.

1 RespuestaOK so apparently they disabled the Bright Engram drops from the Contender Shell.
-
Remember how long it took them to fix the error where you couldn’t interact with the obelisk on the EDZ. I literally think that went on for like 2.5 months.
-
2 RespuestasWell, they have yet to patch that one glitch regarding the Contact event that everyone uses. Is it a bias or just genuine slowness?

10 RespuestasSome problems are probably easier to fix than others. But to put it bluntly you will not get an official answer to that question. Because they don't have to answer to you.

Urmmm, man up?

11 RespuestasEasy mate - the longer you grind - the more money you can potentially spend. So, when you realize the above, literally all of BuGie's current crop of "Fixes" and changes start making HEAPS more sense and so to their fast reaction to bugs that positively impact players. When you understand that as the time of play session increases, so to does the potential for an Everpurse store purchase - it all falls into place.

2 RespuestasEditado por MrMiizii: 7/14/2020 7:47:46 PMI paid for the content I'm playing currently. After this season I will have to put more cash down. With armor sunsetting, the bounty grind, light grind and load times. I think I may actually pass and quit playing. Players are toxic as hell, elitist and the entitlement people feel is the other side of this coin. Its not just bungie's fails it's also the community.

4 RespuestasDidn't they not fix menagerie for like a month, solely because it was beneficial?
-
At least they're consistent. Queen's Wrath bounty gear in the first month of D1 gave ascendant shards on dismantling the gear, which they removed the very first night it was available. I'll never forget that, because my bro and I were gonna stay up and farm it for a while but decided to wait til the next day and got boned. Shoulda quit then.
