Anime, if boiled down to a TL;DR: Nerd with spiky hair gets enraged, flies into the air and shoots lasers out of his hands while shouting jibberish. Meanwhile, overly-sexualized, tig bittied girls talk and giggle like 10 year old children.

1 Respuesta... It's a hobby that I personally enjoy...
not included in the DLC
-
Its an art style, lumping them all together is like lumping all live-action t.v. together. Overall, it depends.
-
1 RespuestaIt’s a form of art not everyone appreciates art
-
If you casually watch, I have no problem with you, but if you're foaming at the mouth about anime, you got some issues man. Same goes for any TV show really
-
Well, in my opinion.. “Does DTL watch anime? Or is he just replying out of boredom? Stay Tuned for the next exciting episode of.... POSTING.. IN... OFFTOPIC!!” - Queue theme song and ending credits

1 RespuestaIf someone ever tells you anime is for kids have them watch all of Elfen Lied uncensored.
-
I don't really care about it. If you like it, go ahead just don't force it on me. Still makes no sense to me and I understand a good amount of dark souls' story, how that's possible, I don't know.
-
2 RespuestasIt's absolute cringe, for the ones I've seen
-
I think it's aesthetically pleasing.

1 RespuestaPersonally, I’ve avoided a lot of the extremely popular anime (One Piece, Dragonball, Death Note, My Hero Academia, And even Attack on Titan and Naruto to a extent) with the only exceptions being Bleach, Tokyo Ghoul, and Sword Art Online. This is mostly due to the fanbase getting very toxic due to the vast variety of people watching the show. The majority of the anime I primarily enjoy are much more “niche” or less well-known, like Angel Beats, Charlotte, The Devil is a Part-Timer, Danmachi/Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, The Rising of the Sword Hero, and a couple others. There are also some really good game-to-anime adaptations, like Halo Legends and the Persona 4 anime. There’s also some really bad ones, though, like the Persona 5 adaptation and the Corpse Party OVA series. (God, I’m still so mad about that one.) The classics are the best place to start, if you ask me. Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion, and Pokémon Indigo League are great examples of this. Alternatively, there’s anime-inspired cartoons out there that are amazing, such as Avatar, Korra, and RWBY, all 3 of which I personally enjoy.

Complicated subject I guess. I think it’s absolutely overhyped and has spawned a culture of being so absorbed into these fictional worlds that people begin to fetishise animated drawings with a squeaker Japanese lady voicing it calling them their waifus. An emotional attachment to a character is absolutely fine, case in point Commander Shepard from ME or Ellie from TLOU, but this isn’t an emotional attachment, it’s a genuine attractiveness which is disturbing as -blam!- to me. As for anime itself, I don’t really watch it all that often unless I get recommended a show and I’m interested. From what I see of the lists though, most of it just appears to be trashy softcore porn designed to appeal to lonely men or hormonal teenagers. Every once a while though, you find a show like Evangelion, Your Lie in April or Toradora which tell compelling stories with brilliant character development and interesting premises. It’s a medium with more trash than gems for sure, the majority of the trash being fan service on top of fan service on top of questionably aged women.

I personally have never gotten into anime. I don’t necessarily have anything against it, just never really had an interest. Like Ring said, it’s not one of my “thingy things”! :P

1 RespuestaHow can I say it's great or it's shit? There isn't one anime.
-
I like some
-
2 RespuestasIt’s kitsch.
-
It's some people's thing, it's some people's not a thing. Everything is a thing to something, but anime isn't one of my thingy things.
-
It’s wonderful So much better than most of the live action shows we have. Usually great storyline balanced with another element.
-
Really depends on the anime in question. Most animes are pretty mediocre or plain trash ngl, but there are some decent ones out there. Others you're better off reading the manga or light novels.
-
I can watch it, but it's not really my thing. That being said. With how western TV/movies are getting and with this virus, I've been watching a few anime films that were good. Unfortunately with some problematic people crying for anime's cancellation it too may end up going down hill.

18 RespuestasShit. Besides the classic Cowboy Bebop, and maybe, just maybe... Gundam, I hate it all.
-
Of the one anime I’ve watched (Jojo), I’ve liked it.
Hecking Spitfires
Only good anime is atlab

I finished death note twice. One with the dub and the other was sub. I preferred the dub, its like the only anime where the dub is better.

Like anything else there are some good ones, and a some bad ones.
