Just because sunsetting favors their content creators who have thousands of hours to grind, bungie doesn’t care about the rest of their communities opinion. They don’t even care enough to acknowledge that people are outraged over the re-issueing.

The only feedback they look at is if players are spending enough money. Making content costs money and sunsetting doesn’t. Don’t give them money and suddenly they’ll grow ears.
-
Did bungie ever listen to feedback tho? Oh just remembered they only listen to feedback when it's related to nerfing Titans and their exotics nvm!
-
"Be kind, please re-grind." -Bungo

2 RespuestasIt'll take upwards to a year of it failing for them to acknowledge it and not fully eradicate the problem. See Masterwork cores in infusion and armor affinity for past interactions of Bungie arrogance in depriving people of doing what they want.
-
11 RespuestasNothing new here Bungie only listens to feedback which reinforces their viewpoint on the game
-
1 RespuestaWe’re listening............... no you fkn ain’t
-
No they're not. They're just working on an excuse that the idiots will believe.
-
Do not buy more content until they end sunsetting and bring back our old gear
-
1 RespuestaIts very clear lately bungie just doesn't care about the community as a whole anymore they want your money not your opinion
-
Why would they develop the game based around people that can play at most 5 hours a week? It's their IP and will do what they want with, if you're unhappy with the way their taking the game, you have a right to leave and spend your money elsewhere.
-
2 RespuestasOf course they're ignoring it. They've gone back on the "respecting our time" philosophy. Their Tiger engine is extremely slow. It's the reason why the original story of Destiny 1 was scrapped for a new story so that maps could be sold in dlc. It took too long to create new content in the timeline that Activision insisted on. Content drops since Bungie has split from Activision comes much less often. So they need the gear we already own to become obsolete to keep us playing by grinding for replacements. Until they convert to a faster working, newer engine or somehow figure out how to tweak the Tiger to go faster, expect stuff like reskins, sunsetting and boring seasonal content.

5 RespuestasEditado por Lull9: 6/28/2020 8:42:50 PMWhatever cool "indie" vibe Bungie had "back in the day" is long gone. Now they're a soulless company (or at least management is). 100% the "big bosses" have a "vision" and that's it. Done deal. They'll push it through no matter how bad the feedback is. Because they're that arrogant and contemptuous of their player base. (And because THEIR "endgame" is not to make the "best" possible game. It's to sell the most silver for the least amount of effort.)
-
Yeh sad fact is no amount of community feedback is going to change this train derailment.
-
2 RespuestasIt will be good for the game.
-
1 RespuestaFor once I am been optimistic and take it as a sign they are thinking about it.
-
They should at least acknowledge the thousands of posts and comments on sunsetting and reissued weapons.
-
There will be no reason to play the game if they don’t do this. It’s the same thing as making better weapons. There would be no reason to use the old weapons
-
134 RespuestasYou guys complaining aren’t even a fraction of a minority of the total active playerbase. Half of you can’t give your feedback without cursing bungie or its workers, why would they listen to you?
-
Er, yes? We've noticed? It's highlighted Bungie's inability to have meaningful conversation with their customers? I understand your statement but it kinda goes without saying - it's obvious.
-
4 RespuestasIt's actually infuriating that dmg04 responded to the "Thank you Bungie for fixing sprint!!!" post but not the posts with 1000s or 100s of upvotes about things the community is not happy with.
-
Joseph Staten and Marty O’Donell were the soul of bungie, maybe they were the gatekeepers to garbage like this.
-
Bungies ignoring the sunsetting feedback
They're ignoring it because there's nothing left for them to say. They've made a decision and they're sticking to it, come hell or high water. This has been their M.O. since early D1. They stick to their plan even if some in the community are very vocally against it. Then the decision blows up in their face. They promise to change and do better. They give some bullshit excuse that this is an ever evolving, learning situation for them. Same shit ensues. Rinse and repeat.
-
3 RespuestasHere’s the thing... They aren’t ignoring them. They just aren’t changing their plans for sunsetting.
-
here's the real deal. they have stated their intent and direction. just because a few people are pissed is irrelevant, they have already set the ball in motion and it is the path they will take. people who make these posts for the last few weeks only want to hear one thing, it won't happen. since that's not an option you people get pissed and say Bungie is ignoring you. pretty pathetic honestly, being outraged because you have to find new toys to play with.
-
I feel like there are plenty of good reasons for weapon (and to a lesser extent, armor) sun setting, but Bungie is making some irrational decisions in my opinion. If they want to keep raid armor they should also keep raid weapons like those from scourge and crown
-
It's been this way since this game released, so it's no surprise that it will always be this way. This company likes to make a lot of promises they can't keep, but if they could deliver on them promises things might have been better.
