A couple of questions to those affected with sword peeking?
1. How did you know they were sword peeking? Looking at their loadout? You saw them with a sword out (with or without ammo)?
Because having a sword doesn't mean they peek.
And if they have ammo they should be running around getting kills with it not camping and waiting! I KNOW WHO YOU ARE SWORD CAMPERS all crouched down with your sharp blade ready to chop my head off.
I only validate one reason that you would need to sword peek and thats to counter camping snipers.
2. What were you doing that they had to sword peek? Was s/he the last one alive and you were an entire fireteam? Was it a 1v1? Were you camp sniping?
If they are the last one on their team and they sword peek around corners to not run into an entire fireteam that's fine.
IF YOUR AN ENTIRE FIRETEAM AND CAN'T KILL ONE PERSON SWORD PEEKING, YOUR JUST TRASH!
If its a 1v1 NO ONE SHOULD BE CAMPING.
IF YOUR CAMPING ON ETHER TEAM AND NO ONE IS MOVING DUE TO SNIPERS OR SWORD PEEKING YOUR ALL PART OF THE PROBLEM WITH COMP/TRIALS
WORK AS A TEAM, NOT CAMP AS A TEAM AND BLAME OTHERS FOR NOT FALLING INTO A NO SKILL TRAP.
I know its frustrating, but issues like these are caused by the players themselves and not the game. It was in D1 its in D2 now, its the same tactic its just players with bad experiences who had wanted a different outcome to a point where they can succeed more and see others fail, this is what brings upon toxic members of the Destiny community.
If you made it to the end thank you for reading i really dont disagree or agree with anything about sword peeking just giving insight and wanting to know the root of the issue.

Simple: 1. Most sword users, especially the "twitch I'm soo good wannabe" don't have the brain power to realise the sword is sticking out the top /clips trough geometry. I've busted out laughing watching twitch no lifers rage and call me a wallhacker because I could tbag in unison with them behind a wall while shooting right at them 🤣 2. When the round started, in the middle and at the end. Say what you want but it's dumb and boring and it shows Bungie's lack of pvp design and knowhow. Getting your super in 1.5-2 rounds should be the first red flag but I digress.

Easy, you hear whenever someone draws a sword. And swords usually wouldn't be part of the comp/trials scenes if it wasn't for the peeking. AND AGAIN: IT'S ABOUT HOW THE GAME COMES TO A TOTAL HALT BECAUSE OF THE "EXPLOIT".

Then why... are you defending sword peeking... if you haven’t played the mode... where people sword peek...

Editado por SummertimeRS: 6/27/2020 10:23:58 PMOh my god the toxicity you have! I used to play trials in D1 not so much but I did, I played Trials of the Nine which was the "New" Trials of D2 until they took it away. Trials of Osiris has literally only been out for a season. Have i jumped in no, not yet. Are you a camper? Someone who can see your sniper glare from sword peaking make you mad? Just curious because you still haven't explained why a match took 20 minutes if both teams aren't camping including yourself?

Editado por michael: 6/27/2020 10:39:13 PMStory time I guess since you don’t play. Last time trials was on altar of flame, we matched a team that was clearly very good on game 7. They were all sniping. We looked up their trialsreport and they all had 85-90% headshot accuracy with their snipers which to be clear is top tier without cheating but we knew the guys and knew they were legit. But our team was also very good, also all sniping, all of us between 80 and 90% as well. It was obviously going to be a hard game and the stakes were high as it was game 7. We didn’t go into it planning to sword peek but we quickly went to mid and saw the tip of a sword sticking out over the stairs box, and knew there was nothing we could do. They could see our every move without showing themselves. We push or stay out and the open and we lose. So we took the swords out and did the same. Every. Single. Round. Went to overtime. Both teams would sword peek for two full minutes until forced to scramble for the cap point. Whoever had the better grenades and supers won. It went back and forth until we barely squeezed out the win 5-4. Nine full rounds at over two minutes each. That is how you get a 20 minute trials game. That was not fun. That was awful. I didn’t play trials for 3 weeks after that game because it was just so disheartening that a sword peek battle was what had come of a match between two sweaty teams. It’s not a battle of skill or tactics it just makes you want to go to sleep and tell your team to wake you up in overtime. Now I know not every trials game is going to be that tough of a matchup with everyone in the lobby sniping with that much accuracy. But people still do it anyway. You can beat bad teams that do it if you just fly at them but it still slows the game down and shouldn’t happen at all. It doesn’t belong in an FPS.

I don’t care about your argument in defence of sword peeking if you have never had to deal with it. I have zero reason to read any of it when you don’t even play the part of the game in question.
