as the title reads i dont care as much of the looter shooter or pvp as much but i really think d2 would be the perfect game to tell a story more then anything and really i dont want to do bounties or grind to do it i want to play the game, complete the game, and make a new charactor to do it again this game speaks to me i enjoy it, hell i love it but the state it is no i cant it feels like a effort to even go on the game
i think warframe another looter shooter in another way does both and it works because you can get anything you want by either earning it by farming, or paying for it with money but it makes it more fun to do the first while d2 it easier to pay for it but at the same time warframe is a story.
the stories, d1 gave little unlessed you looked at the cards but d2 gave it and well made it not work because it was either way to complicated or easy that you get it done in a day but warframe puts gaps in the way so you dont rush it.
look i know people like the game for their reasons but mine are for a story not endless bounties that why i dislike the game more and struggle even going on it, and if you have other reasons or want to say anything i will gladly ask or even talk about it

1 RespuestaThis, this, this! Story actually made this game worth the grind. Forsaken actually had one of the best storylines after D1 stories. I wanted to grind everything so I could feel like a giant in the story mode. Even freaking vanilla D2 had Ghaul for shits sake. I wanted to grind my power level up to go kick his ass. This pointless grind for power level is too much

2 RespuestasCome to FFXIV 😉😉

Bungie: Okay we added 1 more story mission making it four instead of our usual 3 we give out and we are now forcing you to do at least 10 bounties before entering any multiplayer activities. But hey, were listening.

10 RespuestasAlmost anyone can write a better story than the writers behind Destiny 2. Just create your own it'll be far more consistent, less plot hole ridden, and actually end plot points instead of suspending them for a few years or using them out of desperation to make people interested. Warframe has a much better story than D2 my only problem with Warframe currently is there's nothing I want to do thus having the same problem as D2 in a way except D2's problem is there's nothing worth doing.

2 RespuestasYou can do the weekly story missions for Season of Arrivals; not sure about this week's but at least the first one is 750 so no one is forcing you to grind for Power in order to access the story and log off instead of picking up bounties.
-
1 RespuestaSo play the drake collection, great story.

9 RespuestasYou want a story. Do what I’m doing. Make your own and think about making it into a book. That’s the only way you will get a story out of this game. An ten bucks says whatever you come up with is way better than what bungie has down so far. Which is zero story and trying to make its pvp I stop an esports or watchable content on streams and YouTube.
-
1 Respuestayou mean you don't like signing in on reset, doing the same task to just get the one off story mission that the first half is always the same for just some chat time with Eris?
-
1 RespuestaPreach!! I’ve also been saying this since D1. If this game had more story like Witcher or Red Dead Redemption....it would be truly epic! Instead, look where it’s at, what people are aging about it, and how it compares those games.

until they actually decide what the story is its best left alone

1 RespuestaEditado por Gunship: 6/23/2020 7:55:57 PMQuests and bounties are just one more stupid idea that doesn’t work. Quests and bounties are a dumb way of giving the illusion of content without a actually having to do much work. I wish that idea had died in the 80s. Instead of trying to FORCE players to to dumb grindy thing after dumb grindy thing, mixed with literally being to WHERE TO GO, all to SLOWLY grind our ‘light’ up (a process that does exactly ZERO to make the game more enjoyable), Bungie should be adding content to be discovered, by the player, as we explore and fight our way through the game world. If the game actually had any dynamic content that changed a cording to what WE did, Destiny’s world could actually be engaging and fun to explore. Right now nothing we do matters. NOTHING. Instead lay out wonders to be discovered. Reward us for getting better than we used to be. Reward us for doing what we choose to do. Reward us for an exceptional shot, or even a crazy lucky shot. As it is, all we are in this game is grinder drones.

2 RespuestasSorry, stories are too expensive. Bounties are cheap cheap cheap.

Why bungie do you think people make use of glitches instead of an incessant grind

Editado por Rainbine-9545: 6/23/2020 9:04:57 PMi dont even see us as guardians since what are we guarding?. before the almighty when was the last city the most indanger i cant even remember gaul yes threated the city but he was the only one to threaten the city and that was the first campain and after that, it was either mars or mercury or the dreaming city and the other place (forgot the name) and neither of them was a danger to the city sure we could have been doing it before they got to us but why even start there or anything there should be more missions for the last city or even a campain to save the city from something anything a few fallen got in or something and we defrend the people we are guarding because i have not seen any of the people exept amanda or the other people working on the tower, and that not alot since i either hear them whispers or walk around but not once have i seen any reason to keep them safe, because i did not build a connection to them if they did i would think it would be fun to see

Editado por Rainbine-9545: 6/22/2020 6:09:49 PMi wont lie, but i find this intresting so many people like this random thing i just wanted to say which i did not even think of doing at all, when i first made this i thought it was going to get ignored or just laughed at but i kinda like looking at this, people saying what they think and what they would like to question so this is me just saying, thanks for not taking me as a joke or say im wrong and i dont know what i am talking about you dont need to reply or anything, i was just showing my thanks

Why can't Bungie make endless story missions? WHY?
-
3 RespuestasIt doesn’t even have to be huge campaigns, the game is ripe for adding little story moments or lore through exploration. The dead astronauts on Nessus are a perfect example, and with a few more steps added in could add more depth to the world. I guess Bungie doesn’t have time for little things like that.

6 RespuestasBut all the kids these days just love mindless shooting! It's all the rage!
-
They should focus more on story than bounties I don’t mind waiting so long as the story is done well
-
Give up. Theyve made the game to its completion. Remember when they cheared that Activision was gone? Yeah. They were all chearing the end of Destiny.
-
2 RespuestasI agree with you. Story & gameplay are what matters to me in a shooter. The shooting & movement is now F2P. We don't even have to pay to experience what Bungie does best. Or more to the point, gameplay is the only thing that Bungie still does well and it's free. The story, what little there is, will be dribbled out to us over the next 3 years. When Bungie announced no plans to make Destiny 3 it showed that Destiny is on life support. Invest the minimum and extract the maximum until it dies. They're even going to cut out parts of it to make it less expensive to maintain. I believe that any content from here on out, including the current season, was meant for Destiny 3 before it was unofficially cancelled. They're just trying to get some return on that R&D investment. Bungie will milk the die-hard fans for as long as they can but that group will shrink gradually over time as they continue to become disillusioned. There will be new players that dip in & out for some added revenue. That's it. That's all we've got to look forward to. The Destiny epic adventure that was promised has proven to be a barely coherent jumble of episodic content released piecemeal over 10 years. It's sad. The best thing that happened for Bungie lately was Cyberpunk 2077 getting pushed back again.

Bungie employees should literally never be allowed to leave the office or have human rights.

19 RespuestasDestiny has a LOT of story, and much of it is told in game Don’t believe me? Ishtar-collective.net
-
If they won't make all mode doable solo "in game" they should make an explorer mode where you can at least go run around and jump around in spaces after they have been out a while, it won't give out rewards so all the people who are big mad at the idea that everyone can earn everyone won't throw a fit
-
I’ve been thinking about this lately as well, one thought I had is their “sandbox” team. I’d love more environmental stuff that’s worth exploring, not even for rewards, just something that makes me go “hey what’s that over there?” Then I explore it instead of just having a pretty sky box to look at.
