I see several posts about PvP right now. People, the average players, dislike the new “competitive mindset” to all of crucible. Other people, the try hard sweats, think they are superior and get off telling others to “get good”. I’m pretty average at crucible. I havent looked in a while, but last time I did I was 1.01. Could be less, could be more at this point. I’m sure some sweat will bring it up.
I almost always play crucible solo. Not because I have no friends (as is the common claim). If you have to crutch off of others that hard, you aren’t really “good” are you? “Look mom, I can team shoot 3v1 and win”. Too many of you get enjoyment out of simply ruining someone else game. It’s not about winning or being good, it about trashing on someone else.
Point is, average players would like to be able to enjoy PvP when they HAVE to play it or just want to switch up their activities. I personally despise when a quest requires PvP functions. I’ll do weeklies on occasion and help my clan sometimes, but PvP is really ruined by try hards for a lot of people.
I don’t care if a players KD is 4.0 or .5. Maybe 6 kills in a game is awesome for them. Maybe that’s all they needed to finish a mission they’ve been working on. Players want to win, I get that. But don’t ruin it for others who aren’t as serious as you. Just because you are better at an activity doesn’t entitle you to talk down to less skilled players. I’m not going into games 6 stacked to sweat all day and build an irrelevant kd. I go in for missions and bounties. Some games I destroy, some I mid tier, some I get destroyed.

I've started reporting people that spam 'git gud' or some other elitist tryhard mumbo jumbo. Adds nothing to any conversation and only causes division in the community. No one made them type that garbage into their keyboards but here we are. Honestly Bungie should invest in machine learning to pick out those types of responses then let people filter them out so they don't have to see them. Let the tryhards screech into the void for all I care I just play to have fun and they ruin it for me.

Your point on team crutching is so accurate. It doesn't take a genius to understand that 3 people attacking 1 person will end up with the 1 person dying. I personally don't disown the tactic of team shooting, but when someone thinks that it makes them good and they get an inflated ego. I would just like to say to them that the leader or tactician on their team probably has better aim than them and that with the attitude they have, they are probably the weakest link in their team.

I think it would be really cool to add a duel game mode. (1v1). It would be 3 rounds with each one ending at 5 kills or a 2min timer. (Possibly add a 1min mark capture point.)

Like Crimson Days? Me and my mom played that all the way up to Valentine's and it was the most fun we've ever had in Destiny :D
-
Yes, except it would be solo and without the buffs.
-
I love crimson doubles. I missed all of this years even though. I was offline during that time. I usually do that solo too, but a couple clan mates enjoy it sometimes too.

Editado por Noble 6: 6/21/2020 1:50:44 PMI've seen more than one person in here with the take that if you put in the time to "git gud", you should be rewarded with playing against bad players so you can stomp them. What a -blam!-ing backwards ass attitude, Jesus. Bad players deserve to have fun playing the game as well, they're not your chew toys. And I say that as a noticeably above average player.

Spoken like a true gentleman. Not to shill but feel free to hmu for some pvp. Always nice to have backup in the rando mess.

Exactly. I’m all for a competitive attitude if PvP is someones preferred mode. But beating players and teams (that are likely not a full fireteam) while you’ve got a 3-6 stack PvP strat and live in the crucible is not competitive. If a person can’t have good sportsmanship then that outweighs any amount of skill they have. It’s great that people enjoy playing and spending time crushing it with friends. That’s half of what Destiny is. Being respectful isn’t hard though. A good PvP player doesn’t get good by beating less skilled players. Without an opposing team, you can’t play. Seeing them talk down to other players who once had fun and now are frustrated that all PvP is full of sweats is just “eww”. I’m learning how truly toxic the community can be.
-
Oh that's sadly something you notice once you've played a few games competitively. I'm not saying all online multiplayer PvP communities are toxic AF, but there's always this specific kind of person, and often there's just way too many of them.
-
No toxic here. Join me in pvp, we have cookies.

I used to play a lot of solo crucible and then solo freelance when it came. Imo the problem is the weapons that the sweats have which you don't, so its not even an even field in terms of damage and that is why I have started to hate crucible. I soloed almost to Fable 3 last season and then I have given up on it. I know some can solo to Legend but I believe it is rare, I've even seen som streamers who need to be carried the last bit. But the weapons should be avalaible for all, imagine noobs players coming into solo freelance without meta weapons. Its just stupid...

I hit a fireteam of revoker/not forgotten people who sat in empowering rifts few days ago in comp. I went into comp to help people get things done (almost have earned LH this way, haven’t cared about getting it). Our fireteam has less than 1000 glory combined at the time. I’m just a quickplay Control playing scrub but it was just annoying to go against. So annoying I went full tryhard on them after 2 rounds. Ended up destroying them, carrying my team and earning a few gold medals. Used to be a lot more chill in all the modes. I seem to have to tryhard now almost every other game just so I don’t hate helping others get their stuff done in Comp or Quickplay.

Yeah. But I don’t get too mad at the pinnacle weapons. I have a few, others I don’t. I wouldn’t mind seeing a gear lock rotation for a weekly playlist. Similar to some of the prestige raid requirements. It would force all players to adjust to different weapons and at times bring the kings down to see how life is for the common man. I feel like I do pretty well for a few games, then I get curb stomped for 1 or 2. This season started bad though. I went on like a 10 game losing streak. There simply should be a rotation for just casual players who want to actually enjoy their time and aren’t no-life gamers or pvp’ers. It’s really irritating that some players ONLY focus on crucible when there is so much more in the game and then act like crucible is THE game when other players branch out or take more interest. Personally, I love gambit.

That's an awesome idea. Or even better have a playlist with no weapon perks. Lock all stats to a set amount and no armor perks. Just pure weapon performance and skill. I'd LOVE to see how good the 'good' players are without their precious metas. Bring back the good ol' days of Halo 3/Reach where everyone had the same chance...

If everyone had the same chance I would go into crucible. I mean come on even in mobas everyone has access to the same items. Not having a not forgotten is pure hell in this competetive nightmare. Ace of spades takes 3 headshots to down the opponents. Lunas Howl is better but its not as good as not forgotten which I don't have.
