Scorn are amazing
So what's this now? The 11th "I love the Scorn" post I've made?
[spoiler]let's add a few more zeros to that shall we?[/spoiler]
What can be said about the Scorn that hasn't already been said? They're amazing, cool, the shiz, lit af squad fam etc.
They're the GREATEST faction in Destiny and (in my opinion) are the most satisfying to fight.
They have this really cool brutal aesthetic to their design, which reminds me a lot of the orcs from shadow of war tbh, as well as this sick twisted cultish feel that I adore!
Oh, and I REFUSE to believe the Barons are perma dead. Fikrul is alive (not thanks to Riven, at least I don't think so) and we've seen the mechanist make her return in the heroic ether harvest public event (which is totally canon! Don't even lol)
Oh and we know for a FACT that the scorn can be revived multiple times, as seen with screebs, and Fikrul is yet to screebify for lake of a better word.
With the focus on Eramis next DLC I really really hope the scorn make their great return to the playing field, binging chaos and destruction where they go! Dancing with damnation and singing with extermination! MUAHAHA!
anyway... Bungie please make the Scorn a major player I'm begging youuuuuuu. BRING BACK THE BARONS WHILE YOU'RE AT IT! Nobody would mind! We're all loosing our minds over Nokris so clearly we'd be down for that!

Like how we killed the mindbender in his ascendant plane. His ascendant throne collapsed after we killed him along with his remains. The mad bomber might also be iffy as the place he died at was blown to ashes, so he most likely is either buried under mountains of rubble, obliterated, or both. The other barons will most likely be able to return. Maybe even the mad bomber. But I cant see how they would make the mindbender return. Either way I still think the scorn are a very interesting enemy (except for the shield guys, they are the worst) and would like to see more done with them.

Actually, I think with Eramis being involved with the next DLC, SIVA has a higher chance of returning than the Scorn, considering Eramis was trying to reunite the House of Devils and also tried to steal some SIVA from the tower

1 Respuestathe scorn are neat and all but bringing back the barons would defeat the entire pont of the forsaken campaign. it was meant to be a gritty tale of revenge that resulted in less nasties in the world. bringing them back would just result in them being killed again. or being recycled in strikes with annoying mechanics. the designs kick ass, though. real cool.

1 Respuestathough it probably won't happen, I think it would be interesting if there were minor scorn areas on Europa, where erimis's houes of devils/darknes would fight with the scorn for favor of the pyramids, them both being of the darkness ( scorn with there ether corrupted by darkness, erimis {supposedly} using darkness for revenge agenst the traveller)

The design of the Vex is incredible. You hear the clanging of scrap metal falling to the ground after they explode in a splash of milk, they make menacing robot noises, the ground mobs have fittingly stiff movement animation while Harpies gracefully swim through the air. They'll always feel more crisp and gratifying to fight than the Scorn will ever hope to be. Let's be real.

They weren't even considered a real threat in their OWN expansion which is hilarious. The campaign went: "Grrr death to Uldren!" But you know the barons were involved in Caydes death too right? "Grrr don't care. Bring me Uldren!" Well hey. Here are some really powerful enemies born from darkness. "F*** outta here wannabe Ogre. Ooh a Misfit!" Thought they were tough? The barons are worse! "What barons?" ...This last one thinks of Uldren as a dad and will do anything to pro-- *Unintelligible war cry followed by dancing* Okay here's Ul--oookay then. Well shit. Here are the credits.

2 RespuestasHonestly, I have to agree. Scorn are amazing. Every single time I fight them, it feels fresh to -- instead of shooting the head every time -- actually aim at the little lantern for a 'headshot'. Bungie certainly have some of the best enemy designs in games, and I can't wait to see what they have for the Darkness. I remember when Destiny was first being conceptualized, they had shown five different races, which soon came to be known as Vex, Fallen, Cabal and Hive. But the fifth one doesn't seem like the Taken -- you know, the Taken have a black-white gradient and are other enemy races infected with Darkness -- so I'm guessing maybe we'll see the aforementioned fifth race at some point. Unlike the Taken, the fifth race teased way back in 2013 - 2014, and had a form very similar to the BTs from Death Stranding. BT inspired enemies when Bungie?

1 RespuestaI never liked that the Scorn felt like a one-off faction to fight. You only see them one place and never again. The Taken are STILL A MASSIVE THREAT. ZOMBIE FALLEN WITH GUARDIAN IMMORTALITY SHOULD BE THE SAME LEVEL OF THREAT.

1 RespuestaGive me scorn all day every day over taken. I loath the taken. They are ugly, they are op, the are just an entire enemy faction of reskins. I don't care about their lore either because non of their lore is actually explained in the freaking game! At least scorn are somewhat original. If your favorite enemy faction is taken go move to California and hopefully die of heat stroke. Lol.

1 RespuestaScorn are nice because they are probably the hardest. With their invincibility dispensers the Captains can spawn and the fire traps. Most unique class in game. I hate them because they are hard but I love them because they are hard (and unique)

I don't think I've ever seen anyone say anything good about The Scorn. I mean they're just another reskin race and I kinda find they're whole deal super dull. Gimmie normal Fallen or Taken anyday over Skorn.
