According to how SBMM worked, they took 68% of players (K/D of 0.85-1.15) and mashed them in with the 2 groups of 32% of the rest of the playerbase (16% low-skilled players and 16% high skilled players). My KD across all modes over the years is 1.16, that puts me at the lower end of the top 16%. I'm now against people around my skill, and people who have much less efficiency than myself. However, using me as an example again, I'm now against those much high skilled than me, the dreaded 2% of players who can play with a controller as if they're playing with a mouse and keyboard. Those 16% who are on the bottom end of the spectrum? It's gonna be hell for them because almost EVERYONE is more skills than them. The 68%? They're gonna have a harder time but they're still comfortably in the middle with as many good people are there are bad. The top 2% on the other hand, are the ones who got what they wanted, a relaxed non-sweat mode they can goof around in. So in conclusion, the removal of SBMM caters mostly to the 2% of players.
