You need to have the addt’l weapons and armour pieces unlocked on your season pass to avoid getting duplicates. That 1st box in the Season Pass gives you a full set of gear. Once you do this you’ll be all good.

Dude did you unlock all the gear from the season pass yet? Because once you unlock a piece of gear say a helmet it is now in your loot pool. If you've only unlocked the helmet you will only get helmet drops. If you unlocked the premium box by buying the season pass then it drop a one of each armor type instantly expanding your loot pool. Pay the 10 bucks for the season pass its well worth it just in the time you save.
