***SO...Not that anyone cares at this point, but I logged on, went through the story stuff. Visuals were cool. Cool tree. Love Drifters dialogue. Weapons and armor are awesome. Reached a point where it was just mindless grinding powerfuls and pinnacles again. Logged off. I was literally falling asleep. C'mon BNG. The new content doesnt up your power?? At some point you cant call these things mistakes...
**Welp, Call me what you will, but the live steam was kick ass, and releasing a dungeon TONIGHT means that now I am interested in playing today...so yeah.. I can win but Im still getting a solid workout in prior to this grind damn you!
Today, we get info, and a new season. I have been salivating over Destiny since it's launch so many years ago. Feels like ancient history.
Today, I have made a conscious decision to go for a sunset hike into the mountains, when I am done working for the day. I wont be spending 2 hours attempting to log in...in que. I wont be attempting to burn my eyeballs out staying up late running around doing bounties. And I certainly will not be doing Pinnacle activities that we've all done countless times before.
Today marks the first time that I do not care enough about what's going on with D2, to be there for a content drop. Sure Ill buy it and play it..but the excitement has just all but disappeared for me at this point.
* For those of you who will say what is the point of this post I wrote it further down but here it is here:
There's 1 camp of people who feel as you do, and there's another camp who dont.
I feel like it's important to share because it highlights the inadequacy of the current seasonal model, and brings to light some issues for the devs to discuss. I think the OP also provides a space for people to voice their opinion on the matter say, for example, if they made a similar post that didnt trend.
Now, are the devs discussing this?? Haha, ehm...well..I do think they are discussing them to an extent. Not sure if this changes anything. Certainly we here cannot add revenue or time to their budgets. We'll see.

15 RespuestasReleasing a dungeon today does nothing for the average player - power level at start is such only those that no life the game can realistically attempt. You are the hound and the piece of meat is dangled in front, go chase. Those that stream/broadcast will no doubt do wonderful from this as they are the ones most likely to complete before the normal avid player - watching the you tube stream for one during the ‘live event’ on Saturday it was actually very saddening to see how much they earned for effectively doing nothing but casting what you could see in game - well over $4k in an hour via ‘donations’, ‘pledges’ WTF you wanna call them. But that made me realise how much these game’s are becoming less about our experience as the gamer and more about how they can generate interest via their influencers - social media is driving this more than actual true gamer interest

8 RespuestasPlay it as much as you can, it’s going away at the end of the season. 😎👍
-
12 RespuestasImagine making a post as to how youre not gonna watch the reveal and play in the first day of the season instead going for a hike, getting tens of upvotes then pulling a 180 on it lol. This season is the same like last seson, bounties and a public event. Hell, there isnt even exotic armor this time, we getting less and less. Not impressed with September, not drinking the kool aid sorry. Hey look were removing stuff and were giving you D1 stuff back, lol.

1 RespuestaUpvote this and reply “yep” if you are bored already
-
I just want to know why we should pay for seasons? The dungeon is free, anyone can do the public event, so does the season pass just get us access to the recaster?
-
5 RespuestasWeapon and armor retirement are going to kill my motivation the most. I just don't feel the magic when something is a necessity rather than a choice.
-
2 RespuestasToday my hope finally dies. Should i be happy?
-
Haven't played in months. Not gonna play til they drop this half assed bs. Dont agree with me? That's fine..we obviously have 2 different opinions on what constitutes fun and worthy of time investment.
-
4 RespuestasBump. This is the first season I haven’t played since warmind. A few thousand hours logged. Absolutely no desire to play. FOMO and lack of fun content lead me to just quit the game all together. Cheers.
-
2 RespuestasI told everybody that would listen to stop mentioning D1. Just let bungie pretend it doesn’t exist so they don’t go and ruin it but nobody listened. Now it’s all gonna he systematically brought back and messed with😒

Same dude, wasnt hyped for the dungeon but was for the fall. Logged on at reset, took an hour copying the update, meh Then proceeded to waste the entire evening getting chicken errors, was told I had no internet despite me being able to do heroic story missions, duh Half the next day wasted to errors, finally got to play, sprint issue turned me right off, opening mission was more meh, more chicken errors amongst this, pub event was meh, got to see the drifters loot pool, old guns old perks, wtf, more sprint disdain grew, then I hit the wall. Gambit, strikes, crucible to level up, no thanks, no way, just no. Logged off, hadn't bought the season after being sent to the buy now screen about 7 times. A few hours later realised I was actually done with the game until maybe fall, maybe for good, and sold my 5 year old account to a guy I know will use it well, for only a fair price. Using this account to read the forums, see if anythings been fixed and what the seasonal feedback is, after everyone's finished -blam!- over the dungeon. Am I angry, not at all, it's been a good run, just a little sad at the schoolboy errors and wasted potential and lies/smokescreen. Felt very let down overall, by the continuation of bugs, glitches, errors, lack of creativity, same old cow being milked. N you know what they say about films that start great? They end up being shit, just like this season I'd guess. All the streamers crowing about the dungeon will soon walk away again, leaving average joe with nothing to do other than complain.

2 Respuestasthis guy is such a drama queen.. .. the kind of person in that abusive relationship.. that always comes back for more....

2 Respuestas
Sure Ill buy it and play it..
Behold the source of the problem. Don't expect the game to improve or become more exciting when you're rewarding Bungie with money for making shit content. All that does is create a perpetual equilibrium state in which Bungie feels comfortable making low-quality updates and being lazy.
-
2 RespuestasEditado por Starlight Raven: 6/10/2020 4:13:50 PMBungie did say they wanted this game to be more "watchable". It becomes more and more evident as the seasons go on that you'd probably be better off watching what happens in the game rather than play it for yourself. You'll retain your sense of wonder while also not falling into the pitfall of boredom.

2 RespuestasNice blog

Agreed Season content is just old content with a few bells and whistles, no way it'll last till Sep
-
6 Respuestasthe only good thing about this season is that new taken grenade launcher.
-
21 RespuestasIt’s not even been 24 hours and you guys are whining about content? Man this place is sad
-
What the hell is with a massive page of text? You can’t just say you didn’t like it?
-
9 Respuestasloaded up, skipped cutscenes ran what pi%% poor excuse they called a quest or campaign grabbed exotic weapon (you never know the game might get interesting again one day ) and shut the game down. first time i cant find a reason to play, the weapons and armour sun-setting have killed any enthusiasm i had for the game and the grind.but jmo
-
This coming from the same person who was crazy hyped about the news yesterday? Naaaaah keep that hype going. You'll definitely not get more of the same come September😈
-
6 RespuestasI looted a bunch of PS4 store cards during the riots so I have Infinite money which means free stuff from Bungie! Don't be sad. It isnt your fault you didnt think of this genius plan! I'll buy the season and not play it lmao that'll show em'

7 RespuestasSeriously, more Fallen? How many times have we defeated them? Can’t we have all new enemies? By the way. The stranger riding through the snow on the speedster is so unrealistic. She didn’t hit a forklift.
-
14 RespuestasHow about “ The Season of Change “ Stop being idiots and pre ordering before you know anything about the “expac” if it’s even worthy of being referred to as that . They have disappointed us for so long . Is there a new race ? A new class ? A new element ? New strikes ? New Zone ? A new Enemy ? And for the love of The Traveller Are they going to sunset sunsetting ☀️ 👎🏻. Prolly just more frozen hive , or re dressed fallen lol I know cabal in a bow tie and top hat . Oh my Gawd ! They are completely different ! 🙄

I think I will be sticking to the free track and only buying annual dlc.

Dungeon will definitely be the best part. Soloing will be the only thing i work at this summer. And maybe solstice of heroes for some sick glowy armor
