As A Black Man Who Is 35 And Have Experienced 1st Hand The Bigotry Of America.
I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU.
I appreciate you not listening to the few keyboard warriors who say "this goes against the forum conduct"
Ummm What? This is Bungie's app correct?
Soo you can break any rules you see fit.
No one understands what it means to be black.
There are even Black Men Who Don't Understand. Which in itself a miracle.
We have continued to love and seek peaceful ways of co-existing.
Nobody white has any reason to apologize.
I myself isn't looking for sympathy either.
Just Want Empathy. That's all.
Understand that I have to work 3 times as hard as my co-workers.
Anyone who says otherwise already have hate in their heart.
It's sad to see people will make excuses of why things are the way they are.
There are none. It's 2020. I shouldn't have to fear any lawman.
Sad thing is, I am.
I was ok only 5 years old when a lawman raided my projects.
Put a gun to my head and made me show him where my home was.
Although at the time they were looking for my Uncle.
He was well known. I won't go into details. I will just say "he was feared"
Some how he is still alive today and is a better human being.
I have my faults. But I wouldn't kill anyone in cold blood.
I just want to say to AMERICA.
ENOUGH.
Thanks Again Bungie.

8 RespuestasEditado por Caerys: 6/7/2020 7:52:50 PMYeah that's great man, honestly, but there will never be a time where I could ever support a group like #BlackLivesMatter where they coerce whites to kneel down and apologize for having 'white privilege'. White privilege does not exist. White guilt should not exist. I'm a 23 y/o white guy, my grandfather immigrated from Europe and raised 6 children. He created his own business from nothing. I don't owe anyone but him and my parents a god damn thing. I am not guilty or privileged of anything; and no amount of media BS shoved in my face saying that I am will change that. White privilege does not exist. White guilt should not exist. Dr. MLK Jr. specifically said to judge a man by his character, not the color of his skin. This is exactly the opposite of what 'white privilege' and 'white guilt' is and what BLM is pushing. Aegrescit medendo

14 RespuestasYes what you went through was horrible, yes nobody should have to experience what you did. My only issue with the blm stuff is the double standard people push, I'm all for the equal treatment of people but the motivation to tell other people that they should be ashamed of who they are defeats the purpose of the equal treatment that is preached. I have done nothing to wrong another person but here I am constantly being told that I should be ashamed to be white and that I should apologize that I am white. We are all just people and the sooner everyone figures that the sooner things will be better in this world

4 RespuestasI am sorry for that old lady which was standing in front of her store to protect it and got beat up real bad by big boys and her store got destroyed. And I am sorry for Bungie and liberal sheeples that if we try to defend that woman and ask for supporting her financially is called Racism n Biogtry and if anyone gonna make any donations or fundraising for these small business gonna be attacked by BLM and Antifa. We warrior keyboards are in minority because we are not sheeples.

You are saying thank you to a studio who's using the distress of some people ( including you ) to enhance is own image... Bungie don't care about black people or about anyone. They are just following all the others...

11 RespuestasRead “Don’t make the black kids angry” and/or “white girl bleed a lot” by Colin Flaherty and you will see how bad things have become. Uncomfortable black history right there. The things in those books are a product of a great many things, none of which excuse them. If you want to have a serious discussion about race in this country then the problem of criminality regarding rape, murder, robbery, and all other major violent crimes being disproportionately attributable to ONE group in this country needs to be addressed. Denial, deceit and delusion doesn’t change the facts. Until that day comes enjoy the shite show from the Mainstream media, BLM and Antifa that’s sole purpose is to destroy any unity between different races worldwide because peace is bad for business as far as they’re concerned.

5 RespuestasI want to start with, I am extremely sorry that you were in that situation as a child. That shouldn't happen no matter your race or age. What I mainly wanted to discuss was these two statements.
No one understands what it means to be black. There are even Black Men Who Don't Understand. Which in itself a miracle.
This seems like a logical fallacy. If no one can understand what it means to be black, then how does one accurately represent the feeling in the first place? Does the feeling exist if it can't be described (I know it does, just a thought)? Can you enlighten me on the feelings you feel? I do want to understand, its just hard when the experiences of others are described in such vague ways.
Understand that I have to work 3 times as hard as my co-workers.
Can you elaborate on this one? I could use some more details to understand what you are getting at.

10 RespuestasI am sorry for any mistreatment that you have experienced. I am not sorry for being white and have stood up for many people in the past, regardless of color or sexual orientation. With this being said, I do not agree with Bungie supporting these groups as they are most definitely not peaceful and they place blame upon the whole, rather than the few individuals that have caused the problems. The last that I knew, blaming the majority for the sins of the few was wrong. Yet, these groups are blaming all whites and all police officers due to the actions of one. There are bad white people and police officers out there. I do not dispute that. However, there are bad people of every race and profession out there as well. Black lives do matter, but the group does a disservice to those lives due to their actions and/or the actions that they support. They are doing a disservice to race relations and are nothing other than puppets of those who are controlling them. The murder of Mr. Floyd was moment in time that captivated much of America and the world. Many of these groups and people were manipulated and played into acting as they have, based solely off of emotions. Unfortunately, they have ruined the good that may have come from this situation and have lost much of America now. I sincerely hope that people stop seeing color and start seeing people as human beings. The world would be a better place if we were all willing to listen and to find compromise, rather than argue and take extreme viewpoints that cannot be challenged.

6 Respuestasthis does come off as a tad preachy. I'm just wondering why you're telling this story NOW. Why not with a therapist.... or before it was a popular thing to say blm... If you are only telling this story to appeal to the BLM audience because of the attention surrounding it atm, shame on you. (If that's not the case, then the statement doesn't apply) Why are you asking for empathy from these forums? Couldn't you post this in #offtopic? rather than destiny2. I'm gonna stop there, because I am not intending to demean anyone of experiences they've claimed to have.

6 RespuestasWhen I was young, I didn't even know what black was. There were people who were lighter skinned than me and those with darker skin. Never thought about it as black. My first friends in school back in Brooklyn were black and a mixed black and I think Hispanic. Anyway, again, never saw them an anything other than friends. Then I remember seeing my mom's face when I brought them over our house. She didn't say anything racist but I knew by the way she looked, she was shocked and of course I had no idea why. Then as time paste, living in the racist area of Brooklyn I did, I would hear story's about the black community (about the Jewish community too but that is another story), lots of bad story's about how black people will rob you, could hurt you, kill you and take your stuff, etc. After a while you start to believe some of it but I always would remember my first friends and how cool they were. Mixed feelings about it. Anyway, I had runs in with some black guys here and there and nothing ever happened. One that sticks out, I was in my teens 14 or 15 maybe and I was on a train late at night and it was empty and about 4 to 5 black guys came from one of the other cars and started to mess with me, asked me if I had any money and threatened to rob me. Needless to say I was a bit scared, they were bigger than me, there were more of them and I was worried but you know what happened? Nothing. They moved on to the next train car. That was it. It was that moment that I knew all the story's I heard growing up about the black community were bullshit. Do some black people cause trouble, sure but I can honestly say I've seen more white people, doing far worse in my time living in Brooklyn, FAR WORSE. The game we all play has not be fair in a LONG time to the black community, maybe now the odds are finally going to be even or at least more even. Let's hope so.

5 RespuestasEditado por Major-Payne: 6/6/2020 5:20:40 AMI honestly think it’s really disgusting that in 2020 this is even an issue. When I served on active duty in the Army I was the minority as a white guy. I served with so many great people of every ethnicity and made so many good friends. I’m just disgusted with my county right now!!!

6 RespuestasEditado por Ken_Malibu: 6/6/2020 8:31:08 AMBungie helping to raise awareness is a positive thing but lots of folks don't want to be reminded of real life in a video game. Rather than try and educate themselves and question what they can do to help they will go out of their way to flame Bungie on a forum for trying. Sad to see.

3 RespuestasYou're a tad bit older than I. You came in strong but you're striking out. This conversation is never easy. The conversation never moves. People done know how to solve the problem, they just live in the problem.

1 RespuestaEditado por Pradheon: 6/6/2020 7:57:14 AMThis is kind of unrelated to your post in a way. But I will say I support any movement to promote equality, peace, and justice. I have the right to say that anyone, even Bungie, can partake in and state their mind on what is happening in 2020 and currently. You are entitled to your opinion and can say what you wish, to a certain extent that is. Civil equality for race, gender, and ethnicity is not considered a fully political situation. It is considered a civil liberties situation which falls under human rights. Basic human rights is defined as the rights that every human is entitled to regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or beliefs. Other than that, I find it funny that it is 2020 and people still haven’t read the ‘Terms of Use’, ‘Code of Conduct’, ‘Privacy Policy’, as well as any other policy/agreement. I know I’ll get a bunch of responses against me that will most likely be negative but oh well. If you have never read the above policies/agreements I urge you to educate yourself on them. People seem to be oblivious, especially on this forum, to the fact that Bungie is entitled to state that they support the BLM movement. Bungie employees are living and breathing people too, not your puppet that you feed money into and get what you want without them saying anything. Saying something like “This is my game, keep your feelings and real world views out of it” is quite ironic since you basically just expressed your own real world view, which makes the statement hypocritical. If you have an issue with it then ignore it, it’s not hurting you is it? Also saying thing like “this is MY game” is foolish. Yes you own a LICENSE to play the game but you do not truly own it in a legal sense. At any time Bungie can revoke that license and not tell you. Don’t say they can’t either because it is explicitly stated in both the CoC and ToU. When you buy the game and play it you are automatically agreeing to both of these things, when you use any service provided by the company you agree to these things. That’s why they tell you to not use the produce if you don’t want to follow the ToU or CoC. I’m not being a “Bungie Fanboy”, I’m simply stating facts based off of what I can find even within this app. On a final note, don’t be a bigot and don’t act like you’re Emperor Palpatine. But hey, I can’t tell you what to do and what not to do because all I can do is advise you and hope you learned something and reflect a little on life and the choices you make. Other than that I hope you all have a great day and stay healthy! P.S. I’m going to refrain from replying to any comments to this post. No, I’m not scared of backlash. I’d just rather not waste my time being a so called “keyboard warrior” and spend my time on more productive things. Like sitting in-front of my TV not knowing what to do and being bored waiting for games to drop new content as I ask myself “Why are we here? Just to suffer?” Or doing something actually productive...
For those who are going to ask “Well, what side of the line are you on?” I’m for peace, justice, equality, and freedom. I believe that people should be able to express themselves without fear of danger and should be able to live life as a human being. It shouldn’t matter what race, gender, ethnicity, or creed you are; although, there is a right and wrong. Creeds that defend brutality and similar such crimes should be condemned. The opposite shouldn’t. Politically, I’m more bipartisan than being Republican or Democrat. I don’t like choosing a party because it puts you in a sphere with like-minds who think only one way and can be close-minded. I like to be open-minded

This spoiler is because Mods will probably move OP’s post to #offtopic since it doesn’t relate directly to the contents of the game or Destiny the game in general. So here, have a Lenny face to make this make much more less sense. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
